Scalebound looked pretty jank the whole time until it got cancelled. It's going to need a serious revamp for this to be worth it imo.

The Xbox One X is the most powerful console this gen, but the base Xbox One is weaker than the base PS4^note Xbox One X > PS4 Pro > PS4 > Xbox One > Switch, and the game would have needed to run on that too.

So it would still take work to scale it down, but not to that extent.

I think the trademark for Scalebound lapsed or something.

But man, it would be wild if Nintendo Switch ended up being your (almost) one-stop shop for Platinum Games.

Either that, or Microsoft couldn't come up with a reason to retain the trademark. At least, I recall reading something like that.

This website on trademarks has the one for Scalebound listed as "Abandoned - No Statement Of Use Filed."

I half expect Scalebound (assuming it gets resurrected on the Switch after all) to look WAY more anime. (That realistic art style we were seeing on Scalebound videos? I could've sworn Microsoft mandated that photorealistic art style.)

Meanwhile, Brian from Rockman Corner wants to think this long dead game Nintendo is bringing back would be Mega Man Legends 3, but it looks like he reneged on that.

Today's NA eShop releases are... Steins Gate Elite (and no, I'm am not bothering to look up the proper formatting of that name, let alone type it out), the free version of Smite, and an open beta for Trials Fusion.

Actually, all you were missing was the semicolon(Steins;Gate Elite).

Two things about : First, it's Trials Rising, not Fusion; and second, the beta doesn't start until the 21st, something that is annoyingly not mentioned on the eShop page or in the beta version itself. Try running it and you'll be told your Switch isn't connected to the internet after a bit of waiting on the loading screen.

The Switch was the bestselling console in January and outdid last year's January sales.

Reggie's retiring in April, and he's being succeeded by (Doug) Bowser.

Aw man. Thank you, Reggie. For all the memes and the community outreach. Truly the end of an age. And the beginning of the Age of Bowser.

Time to get a whole bunch of new Bowser-focused games.

On a serious note, Reggie's retirement from Nintendo marks an end of an era. No successor will be able to capture the charisma that Reggie has. If Bowser manages to craft something, then color me surprised.

Reggie’s introduction to us was such a perfect storm of circumstances that I don’t think it can be recreated. Like how Directs just aren’t the same without Mr. Iwata on a stark white background gesturing “directly” to us with both hands.

I'm going to miss Reggie. I think he did a pretty solid job steering Nintendo of America during his time as CEO.

It's too bad to see that Reggie is leaving us, but I guess as far as replacements go having a dude named Bowser is pretty great.

True, but by naming a guy called Bowser his successor you know they're giving it a hell of a shot.

What do we know about Doug? Is he a good choice?

He was in charge of the marketing for the Switch. So, at least in a business sense, he's super smart.
