[up][up]I mainly know her as Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatian Street. It is interesting how this episode comes out on Michelle Gomez's birthday.

Hilarious seeing Scrooge getting so pissed off he's screaming for his mother. Also, Matilda is an absolute joy to listen to.

I can actually totally imagine this being dialogue between the Doctor and the Master.

So Matilda has pet... emus? Talk about Seldom-Seen Species. (And Furry Confusion, but that's normal for this show.)

It's essentially a human with a pet monkey.

Saw the recent episode. Matilda is a joy to watch, and the amount of Scottish rage in the episode is hilarious.

The Egghead partnered with the Phantom Blot is also a great counterpart. I wonder if she'll show up in future episodes.

[up] I am sure Pepper will return again even if FOWL breaks up.

I also enjoyed this episode even without the Doctor Who background as a sibling. But hopefully Webby can learn that when it comes to sibling squabbles to let them pass and don't provoke anyone.

Another Mc Duck clan episode without Donald, and now Della.

they're both clearly missing in action as of those episodes!

[up][up]Yeah, the closest we got to Donald in a Clan McDuck episode is Launchpad's hilarously poor impersonation of him (one of my favorite jokes from that episode).

[up] Donald and Della probably could have solved the problem or make things worse considering how they act as siblings. We had a Three Lines, Some Waiting situation with Webby and Dewey on Scrooge and Matilda's relationship, The Phantom Plot and sidekick Pepper trying to steal the MacGuffin, and Huey and Louie trying to find the MacGuffin in the castle. You know what they say about too many cooks, Della and Donald would probably cause the castle to go down faster.

So seeing the more mixed reception this week's episode has gotten in the Mc Duck drama and Webby being the polarizing aspects and Phantom Blot/Pepper being considered the best thing about the episode even by the detractors, what are y'alls two cents on it?

I agree that we probably should have gotten Donald and Della in one of the episodes about the Duck family. I'm really not sure why Webby was there, to be honest.

Outside of that minor squabble, this is just a standard episode, not much to talk about. I'm not sure what Matilda's deal was supposed to be, though.

Webby probably forced herself along at the very least. After all, she missed out on her opportunity the last time she was at Castle Mc Duck so this time she wanted to make sure she took as many notes as she could. She even brought a recorder.

[up]x3 Not a big fan of Webby's part in this episode. I know her obsession with the family is (for better or worse) part of her character, but this was the first time I found it kind-of annoying. A lot of her actions struck me as incredibly selfish; she seemed more interested in fixing their problems to preserve her "perfect" McDuck family ideal than out of concern for the family, and her Heroic BSoD was more about lamenting how she "destroyed" the McDuck clan and thought she could be a part of their family than it was about the family fighting escalating.

[up] I don't know if this is a valid excuse currently but Webby is an idealistic child. Wouldn't maintaining how she sees Clan McDuck be something a kid would do?

I wasn't too bothered by Webby's behavior; it seemed very much in line with her character trait of not quite understanding family dynamics, especially one as volatile as the McDucks.

I just realized something: if Castle McDuck has a Blessed Bagpipe, does that imply it has a Cursed Kilt too?

I wonder if we'll ever see Hortense, since we've now seen Matilda.

Be it as a ghost or flashback. I also hope we'll see more of the Duck side of the family.

So, the episode starts with the question of "what happened to the magical mist that hides the house?" But that gets forgotten pretty quickly. It doesn't really even get resolved at the end. I'm assuming Phantom Blot took his magic sucking machine with him when he left, but I can't say that for certain, because we don't see him take it. Or maybe they wanted to get rid of the fog so we have an excuse for going back to McDuck manor later on?

[up] Pretty sure they say that Phantom Blot drained the magic to get the mists away so I think the castle is unprotected until all of Blot's magic is returned.

Isn't there an ominous shot of Phantom Blot on top of the castle with some kind of mist sucking machine immediately after someone asks what happened to the Mist for the first time?

TBF, Webby's involved in pretty much every globetrotting adventure while Della and Donald tend to sit out the adventures so it ain't exactly a surprise seeing her attending this one. Heck, I even think this and several other episodes this season highlighting Webby's optimism and her being the heart of the team is emotionally preparing us for when she inevitably gets into her own family drama with Beakley when finding out whatever she's hiding from her.
