NOTE - Report bugs along with your browser/version, operating system/version, and device. There are thousands of these combinations, and most bugs right now only affect certain combinations.
Tropers - As you are probably well aware by now, we've made a ton of changes to TV Tropes. Although most of the changes you see are primarily cosmetic, we are also part way through a complete overhaul of the backend code. With so many changes under the hood, it is entirely possible we broke a few things. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, this is the place to report it.
Please note, this thread is for BUGS only! If you have an idea, wish, or anything to say that is not related to a bug, please do not post it here. Those things can all be posted and discussed on other threads in Wiki Talk or the Tech Wishlist.
The more information you can provide about the bug (e.g., browser, operating system, etc.) and how to re-create it, the more likely we will be able to squash it.
Happy Troping!
EDIT: Here are some things that have been reported:
- Login issues
- Logins not sticking between devices
- Some people are still having issues with dropped logins.
- You can't log in if your username contains a space. Remove the space.
- Javascript: Your device must be able to run Javascript from tvtropes.org, static.tvtropes.org, ajax.googleapis.com, and netdna.bootstrapcdn.com. If you are blocking any of these, lots of things won't work, like editing pages.

The "source" option is now in the sidebar, below the "spoiler" toggle.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe new mobile site has random blue outs◊ on Chrome iOS
On occasion the page will be perfectly readable while loading, and then it happens after the page has loaded.

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiot@Septimus Heap, good catch. We disabled the login for the dev site for a while to use Google's tool to check if tvtropes is mobile friendly while we were working on it. Google then started indexing the dev website quickly during that time. I just submitted a request to remove the dev from Google's index. Should go through in a few days so only live results show up in the search again.
Okay, so the color is back on Darth Wiki and Sugar Wiki pages, but the YMMV, Fridge, Headscratchers, WMG and Tearjerker pages still don't have blue backgrounds. Are you still working on them, or is this intentional?
Plus, the Video Game pages have a tab for High Octane Nightmare Fuel, even though it always leads to the regular Nightmare fuel page.
Children of Dievas - my webcomic about the Northern CrusadesI was going to say that I too have noticed the page colors are back on the Darth and Sugar wikis... but, didn't the page color used to be dark gray for YMMV, Headscratchers, and such, instead of blue?
When I first joined, they were all white.

Peace is the only battle worth waging.Whenever I get the cursor in the box to type the entire screen zooms to the bottomright corner and shakes up and down wildly every time I hit a letter and I can't actually see what I'm typing. This is on mobile, though the desktop version on mobile now does this too.
MY SOUL IS DARK BUT MY HAIR IS COLORFUL — Brahian Pokémon AlchemistThere are pointless black banners on the far right of the screen (at least on mobile); when I visit another website first, that page will appear in the banner◊.

Peace is the only battle worth waging.I'm also finding that YKTTW are staying marked as unread even after clicking on them.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerThe random button has been causing some problems. One likely reason why is the use of <DIV> tags inside <A HREF>, which is bad HTML.
I can't use "Find post by troper", it keeps telling me to "Get Know", despite me being already logged in.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!I've figured out why my icon and handle are dropping off the header banner: it's my screen resolution. I'm using good ol' 1024x768, which is causing my lengthy handle to drop off the header banner into the page, thus squishing the page content into the center.
So, I guess that's not a bug, it's just my resolution. I have wider resolutions, though I'm not a fan of widescreen, and this being a 15.4'' laptop I'm using, 1024x768 is the larger 4:3 resolution my computer can physically display.
So, never mind that, then.
So I've just been encountering this today after the change in appearance, whenever I click off the window while it's not full screen (specifically, if it's narrow enough to force a resize of content) and click back on, I'm unable to scroll using the arrow keys, page up, page down, home, or end until I refresh the page. resizing it back up fixes the issue while it's that size, but it starts back up when I decrease the size again without reloading first. Going to a different tab does not carry the issue over, but does not solve the issue on the original tab, and clicking off the window with the new tab open causes the same issue to occur on that one too. So far I've encountered this on every page of TV Tropes, including the forums, but not on any other website.
That happens to me from time to time on any site. Try clicking the page (not anything on the page, just the page itself), then try scrolling with your arrow or pg up/pg dwn keys. That's what I always have to do.
After the second retool, I can't find any link to the Launches page anymore.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Still in the "Tools" sidebar.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI deal with this on my phone, too.
EDIT: Typing posts on my phone has never been the least bit good note , but it didn't use to make me dizzy. :/ Well, this dizzy.

i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI've noticed reloading forum pages can take a very long time, even when the content hasn't changed very much or at all.
So now up to all the other problems I have with this new damned layout, I can no longer edit my posts.
EDIT: I logged out and then logged in. I no longer have this problem. If you have the same problem, do that.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I can still edit your posts. What does happen when you try to edit a post?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe "Crowner" pages only display one option (the top one) each.
Running Windows 8. Having the same problem in Explorer and Firefox. And, yes, I have Java installed.
'Crisis or no, nothing should interfere with tea!'I appear to be having that problem, too.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerOK, now I can search on my tablet, but not my desktop.
So is the issue reported in this this thread a bug, or intentional?
Either way, it's deeply inconvenient.
Well, dang, the CM thread is back, but the source option is missing...Firefox 35.0.1
