I'm most interested in Will Smith as Deadshot.

I would have said something about Waller and guns... but yeah, the woman isn't afraid to give Granny Goodness a shotgun full of laser (even though it earns her a royal beatdown).

I recently rewatched Ender's Game and she is in the movie as a hard nosed military officer, not that far from Waller. I have a lot more confidence in that casting choice now. Waller IS one of the more interesting characters in the DCU and a dream role for any actress.

I wouldn't say Waller is "sassy" though. I'd say "tough, unbreakable bitch".

I only hope they don't take the temptation of making her Sam Jackson as a woman.

Probably not, Waller is almost certainly not going to be as friendly as Fury.

Amanda Waller is more Ultimate Nick Fury before Ultimate Fury was Ultimate Fury.

Bad news, Tom Hardy has been forced to drop out. His current movie is having production troubles so the shoot has been extended, and he's going to have to do press tours for Fury Road.

They're looking at Jake Gyllenhaal to replace him.

"We both know that you now have to drop the role. You'll just have to imagine being in the movie!"

I feel like Jake Gyllenhaal is kind of a waste as Rick Flagg. I mean, I'm not too familiar with all the ins and outs of the Suicide Squad and its history and various incarnations, but to my understanding, Flagg's kind of the Nick Fury and Token Good Teammate of the group and is there to keep the rest of them in line. Coming straight off the super-method train of Nightcrawler, putting Gyllenhaal in something as underwhelming and not too iconic or demanding as that seems like a waste of talent.

Though I guess the same could be said for Tom Hardy. I guess I don't really know enough about the character to appreciate the role. I'll reserve judgement and read up some more...

Every time I hear Rick Flagg I think of that other Col. Flagg.

I think of Randall Flagg.

To me, Amanda Waller will make or break this film.
