Batman has also co-founded the Justice League, funded it, served as a temporary leader, and built the team's base of operations more than once. Not to mention the Outsiders.

The fact Joker killed Jason Todd and crippled Batgirl are precisely two of the things that piss me off. How did he succeed at that when smarter and more powerful foes haven't? And don't give me that 'his insanity makes him unpredictable' line because most of Batman's Rogues Gallery suffer from one type of insanity or another, if anything it should work *against him*. Joker is one of the worst examples of Wolverine Publicity in comics. And even then both of his victims got better with time. Even the dead one. FAIL.
Where was this video when I was looking for it last night!??
They uploaded it 5 hours ago.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureWell, the crippling of Batgirl was easy. He didn't cripple Batgirl. He crippled Barbara Gordon. It was purely a convenient happenstance that his victim was the secret identity of Batgirl.
As for how he did it: in the most mundane way imaginable. There are very few defenses against aversions of Why Don't Ya Just Shoot Him?. It's just sort of taken as an unspoken agreement that villains won't do that. Superheroes live through countless scenarios that should absolutely have been the end of them because of narrative happenstance.
Any time a superhero ever loses a fight, gets taken by surprise, or is otherwise captured, that should be the end of their career right there. And they lose fights all the time. They're just always granted an opportunity to bounce back because they're the hero.
There's a lot of unspoken rules about how villains get to behave in ways that are menacing but not effective. It's doubtful Bruce Wayne himself would have been able to avoid being crippled by a bullet fired at point-blank range as he answers the door. That's why villains typically aren't allowed to do that.

I'm eagerly waiting for a LEGO Justice League.
Where there's life, there's hope. They're too busy partying at the Fortress of Solitude (man, if there was ever a continuity where that was poorly named...).
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. So, how do you want to name it? The Man Cave of Justice or something?
Wake me up at your own risk. It's decorated with Supes' previous triumphs, it has a huge television screen, and it's where he goes to host parties. Is there a better name for it than the Man Cave of Justice?
Also, somewhat surprised Batman didn't think of taking that name first. Or, at the very least, that Alfred didn't call the Batcave that to snark at Bruce.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. Finally got to see the Lego Batman Movie, two months after the rest of the world (thanks Australia! At least the holiday tickets were cheaper). It's super fun to watch. I'm surprised that no one's talked about the score for this movie as well as the choice of song picks, because they're pretty fitting for their respective scenes. Even the ending song, which is admittedly cheesy out of context, helps to relieve dramatic and emotional tension after everything that's happened.

This account is dead. I’ve said a lot of dumb things in the past and I wish to forget them. I’m sorry if I’ve ever hurt anyone. It's even more of a release in that the movie acknowledges it's kind of cheesy.

Just this once, Joker was the man who knocks.

The Super Man Cave of Justice.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Something I just found out: the elevator music the characters hear in an elevator scene is playing "Everything Is Awesome". :D
And the chase music is directly cribbed from Mad Max Fury Road
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.LEGO Batman made a cameo, Animal-Logic-animated, Will-Arnett-voiced n all, in one of those AT&T commercials starring Mark Wahlberg.
Just saw the movie. It may very well be one of the best examinations - and a simultaneous mockery - of Batman's personality and modern "brooding lone wolf" attitude that I've ever seen. It's also hilarious, which helps.
Agreed.
Also just caught this. I knew it would be golden, and it didn't disappoint.
Yeah. Everything good and bad about Batman was summed up in this movie in a way that was incredibly hilarious to watch.
Damn, Joker built himself quite the alliance of Evil. He had the freaking Daleks on his side! And Voldemort! How did Voldemort even get into the Phantom Zone? Why was Superman fighting he who must not be named?
This movie was just ridiculous, and I loved it.
One Strip! One Strip!Voldemort was in the Phantom Zone because nobody could figure out how to kill him.

Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Also, considering magic is one of the best ways to fight Superman canonically (it's Depending on the Writer, but even the best-case scenario is that Supes has the same amount of resistance to magic as a normal person), it kinda makes sense that Superman decided to not mess around and zapped Voldemort into the Phantom Zone as soon as he had the opportunity.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Maybe the King's Cross limbo that Harry and Voldy got zapped into is the Phantom Zone. They look kinda similar.
I don't know. Co-founding, funding, designing tech for, and being one of the predominate leaders for the Avengers has been a pretty great use of his wealth, intelligence, and technology.
Adaptations tend to downplay his importance, but the Avengers basically wouldn't exist without Tony Stark.
