That's an ongoing kind of misuse. I doubt that there are more effective remedies than to remove entries that don't explain how the moment is unintentionally funny, though - and reporting repeat offenders on Ask The Tropers.

To trope, or not to trope...that is the question.I think the description is a bit jumpy. Origin and relations to other tropes should be farther down than the actual explanation for the trope. Explain the trope first, then mention other details, if at all necessary.
Check out my fanfiction! Can we, like, put a crowner on this or something? Or just... close the discussion since it's been, like, forever and no-one else has added anything?
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fire Emblem: The Blazing BladeNot sure what a crowner could help. I am willing to close this, unless someone can offer a description rewrite.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think at least a reorganization would be worthwhile.
This might be a lot of work, but here's an idea: you can lock pages that are constantly suffering from misuse, and put a big note at the top explaining what Narm actually is and asking what to consider when adding examples. Like in this page.
Clock is set.

Narm is supposed to refer to serious things that come across as unintentionally funny due to bad writing/acting, melodrama, or otherwise. But a lot of tropers have been using it to mean "scene that made me groan," or worse, as a synonym for Dethroning Moment Of Suck or Wall Banger (these are Flame Bait, so its understandable, but still). I had to delete a huge chunk of examples from Fairy Tail because they were all just tropers complaining about moments they didn't like or find particularly effective. I've seen the problem pop up elsewhere occasionally, like Star Trek Into Darkness.
While the misuse isn't as bad as that for tropes like Berserk Button, it's still worth mentioning.
To trope, or not to trope...that is the question.
