Well certainly don't take my word for it.

I know there was a backlash when Chloe got revealed, but for the most part that seem to be the Vocal Minority than anything else.

It's not like I even know my Tekken 101 to begin with.

The boxing kangaroo and two dinosaurs clearly are the height of realistic martial arts in the early games, or at least it's what older fans claim. The series has always been extremely goofy, especially in its endings. If anything, the story and art in 7 is a bit too serious and grim.

I will always be baffled to them using the framing device from Ace Combat 04 for Tekken 7's story mode. It even had the narrator trying to kill the person they blamed for the death of their family.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...

There is a sufficient lack of Azazel talk considering Zafina is back. Im not the only one who saw that fladh in the trailer am I?

That stupid crystal dinosaur they dreamed up to justify Jin causing World War III?

It's probably just her having flashbacks

Considering that arms looks related to said Crystal Dragon it looks like Jin didn't succeed in killing it completely.

[up][up][up][up][up][up][up] I really hope that they bring Alex and Roger or Mrs Roger and Roger Jr back. I would love to see them again.

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.

Random aside: anybody here played Chrono Cross? If you ever looked at the listed weight for the women, it's absurd. Most of them barely break 100 pounds.

    CC Women Weights
Irenes: 5'10" and 115 lbs.(she is a mermaid tho if that matters?)

Janice: 5'7" and 104 lbs. (her Build is "Plumpish")

Kid: 5'5" and 99 lbs.

Leah: 3'5" and 71 lbs. (she's six-years-old. Also I guess women don't gain too much weight after this)

Leena: 5'5" and 95 lbs.

Luccia: 5'9" and 97 lbs.

Macha: 5'6" and 150 lbs. (Build is "Stout" and she's a 30-year-old Demihuman)

Marcy: 4'9" and 84 lbs. (another little kid who I guess will only gain about 10 pounds)

Miki: 5'7" and 95 lbs.

Orlha: 5'5" and 119 lbs. (Build is "Muscular" This is actaully acceptable)

Razzly: 3'7" and 11 lbs. (tiny Fairy. Okay)

Riddel: 5'7" and 104 lbs. (not bad)

The only series I could think to compare/contrast this with was Tekken since it also has lots of ladies with listed weights. It was interesting to learn Tekken has the women at actual believable, "why aren't they dead" weights.

Somebody suggested the creators of Tekken actually researched real life athletes and martial artists while in CC they probably just pulled numbers out of their asses.

Honestly, most video games kinda does whatever the hell they want with physics, so something like weighs is something I tend to be a lot less obsess about. That's not to say fighting games has never implement them before.

So anyone else missing? Because I can't see anyone too excited for someone like Baek & Wang. Maybe Tekken 5 Raven & Christie, I don't know?

SOOOOO Glad Zafina's back. She was one of my faves in T6. The azazel thing is interesting lore wise but TBH I freakin hate azazel for being a badly designed cheap piece of ugh.

[up][up] In terms of veterans not in the roster yet, there's Michelle Chang, Prototype Jack, Wang Jinrei, Ganryu, Kunimitsu, Jun Kazama, Baek Doo San, Bruce Irvin, Roger, Alex, Angel, Forest Law, Tiger Jackson, Mokujin, Ogre, Dr. Bosconovitch, Unknown, Tetsujin, Christie Monteiro, Combot, Miharu Hirano, Mrs Roger and Roger Jr, Jinpachi Mishima, NANCY-MI847J, Sebastian, Jaycee, and Kinjin (And that's not even counting Gon).

There's also the original King, Kuma, Armor King, and Raven along with all of the other past Jacks, but they're already repped by their successors.

Devil's already in as part of Kazuyas moveset, and Azazel's gonna be part of Zafinas.

As for series regulars with fighting styles not yet represented, I'd say Roger and Ganryu are at the top.

There's also Wang and Baek Do San, though they have some commonalities with the Changs and Hwoarang, respectively. The same could be said of many other characters, but you start moving further and further into clone territory. Most of the post-launch TTT 2 roster are pretty distinctly small variations on existing movesets, for instance.

There are also boss characters like Jinpachi or Unknown, who are fairly distinct but don't fit the mainline canon.

Lol at harada and the cookout thing. That was cute.

Though TBH I never heard the cookout thing either. Like from context it's not hard to figure out what it means but I haven't heard it much IRL.

Zafina's chest got more... impressive.

Meh, not seeing the hype for Black IP Man yet.

The hype is that he's based off of character from an old film called "The Last Dragon." I suppose he kind of is "black IP man" but this is kind of the fighting game for that.

So the Tekken fanbase has people just like over in the Final Fantasy w ho shit on the newer games for being too "anime?"

I mean.

I like the goofy stuff but after Tag 1, Tag 2, Tekken 5 with giant flaming purple, meteor-spamming old man, and Tekken 6 introducing Mr. Lightning Bolt Never-Before-Seen Cameo Sibling of the Mishima Family Badass Anime Dude...

I kind of get not liking how "anime" things are.

Kazuya and Heihachi fought inside of a volcano and Heihachi did some kind of ki release thing like he went Super Saiyan or something. I was genuinely scratching my head over how things had gotten to this point.

Heck Asuka's bike ride in Tekken 5 was kind of like "what."

The last Dragon?!

As in, ‘’you possess the power of the glow’’ Last Dragon?

As in ‘’Sho’nuff, the shogun of Harlem’’ Last Dragon!?

Because if so, then ‘’’HELL YEAH!!!’’’
