Tekken 7

@Darthwyn & Zero: I believe that Zero believes that it's all right to express his own opinion, no matter how jaded. And honestly there's nothing wrong with that; I mean, why lie and pretend you're happy, when your heart was saying otherwise? We kind of talked about it and... well I've been giving him tips to articulate his jadedness so it doesn't sound like he's picking a fight.

So an Eddy won CEO this year. I haven't been following Tekken 7 that closely but man that makes me want to pick this one up.

This does look the most hype out of all the series. Too bad the mechanic never won me over.

Tekken Tag 2 is a lot more hype than 7 ever will be.

It's significantly harder to play and had a mountain of characters, though, so a lot of people skipped it.

I'm not one to talk since I don't like Tekken's mechanic period, but that's absurd that the fans wouldn't give it a chance because of that. I know it can be time consuming to find that synergy for your main, but that shouldn't stop someone who was already dedicated to series. I'm probably missing something here

The only reason why I say Tekken 7 is the most hype is because of that slow-mo when 2 character are about to the killing blow.

Tag 2 was hard to play mainly because there were a ton of characters to learn in addition to finding synergy with your main and its somewhat convoluted tag mechanics. The more characters there are in a fighter and the more balanced those characters are the more you need to learn to play it at even a somewhat dedicated level if only so that your match up knowledge is respectable and you can beat anyone reliably.

Either way, nothing beats Tag 2's team combos and Tag throws. Tekken's got my favorite animation in any fighter and it was at its best in Tag 2.

That I agree on.

It's too bad TTT 2 will always be that example for me on why developers should never put in 110% in these fighting games.

I sure hope so. Even if I do think Majima would be a better fit.

Majima from 0, or just Mad Dog? Since half his moveset from 0's focused on weapons I'm not sure if he'd be that great a fit, either.

Feels like Kiryu's got a more balanced moveset overall and very little he does focuses on weaponry to any great extent.

@Hashil: Yes, I know it's an old video and I've seen Kenny's BSOD on that. But that has got to stuck whenever Eddy is mentioned.

I'd like a mix of Mad Dog and Thug with a few Breaker moves. I know Kiryu would be a bit more rounded overall, I just think Majima's fighting style and attitude would be more unique. Although Kiryu also has a better stage choice, which would either be the Kamurocho main gate, or the Entertainment District (Millennium Tower rooftop is too similar to G Corp Helipad)

Majima's always got his batting cages.

If nothing else, I really want Ultimate Essence of 88 as a Rage Art. Majima's equivalent doesn't work on one person that well.

Is there some way Kazuma Kiryu doesn't leave his opponents horribly mangled by the end of his fights?
