Was that Sherlock as that Wolf guy?

I think it was Benedict Cumberbatch.
Also, the the desert-themed BOUNCY castle at the end of the trailer is branded "SWEATY PALMS"...lmao DWA, never change.
The penguins were the best parts of the Madagascar trilogy and their TV show was pretty solid. I'm sold on the penguins having a movie to themselves.

has a clue, but it's usually not the correct one 0.55% of the timeSo, will this be licensed for Nick or Dreamworks alone?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI find it interesting that even though this is a major animated film with celebrities voicing the supporting cast (Benedict Cumberbatch, Ken Jeong, Annet Mahendru and Peter Stormare) and the villian (John Malkovich), our main cast will be played by two animators (Tom McGrath and Chris Miller), an editor (Christopher Knights) and a voice actor (John DiMaggio).

Last animated moive I could remember where the bigger names were all in the supporting cast was The Princess And The Frog.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatThen, will this be in TV continuity, or movie continuity?
So... the baby seal is basically a child soldier, right? Unless they're playing the 'hormonal disbalance' thing again, like with Mort (or like they did with Live Action Scrappy).
I'm actually shocked we don't get King Julien in the trailer. I'm of the opinion the character needs a rest already, but he's always been such a constant of the whole franchise...
Any chance for Dr Blowhole?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I think it's funny that for the TV series, Kowalski and Private "upgraded" to professional voice actors.
Also, "sweaty palms" is nothing. The TV series managed a blowjob joke once.
I'll admit, as much as the critic side of me wants scream "Sell Out", I've really enjoyed any spin off they were in so far.
I'd love it if they made it at least continue a bit from the television series but I'm dubious. Heck, I doubt the KFP series even takes place within the same canon universe.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Well, it's not like this kind of movie is out of character for Dreamworks, so they haven't really sold out.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI have a feeling this will be movie continuity. Dreamworks ignored the TV show in terms of story for Madagascar 3. Also, McGrath said the TV show takes place in an alternate continuity anyway. No Dr. Blowhole. And I get the FEELING (I could be entirely wrong) that there will be no King Julien.

If it is movie continuity, then Julien may stay with the circus. Of course, the penguins stayed too, so this is either a prequel like Puss in Boots, or the penguins left sometime later.
The Penguins aren't above leaving friends after learning a friendship moral. They left Alex and friends at the end of the second movie to take a vacation to Monte Carlo.
New clip. I love how the villain is suffering from problems you would have on Skype.
I love how they all stop to help him out. That whole bit was great.
So did the villain turn himself into an octopus somehow, or are there two villains who are played by the same actor? Because Malkovich is listed as playing both Dr. Brine and Dave on IMDB.

Looking for some stories?Seems like Dave is just a nickname for Dr Brine.

This only makes me wanna see it more.
The Penguins were the best part of the Madagascar movies
I can hardly believe it's been ten years since the first Madagascar movie. Speaking of which, I noticed a continuity error in one of the trailers. If the Penguins were born in Antarctica, why would they want to go back in the first movie, considering how in that movie they apparently didn't know what it was actually like to live there?
I just assumed this was an Alternate Continuity like the show.
Looking for some stories? This movie is based of the Show so I think it is in the same continuity of the show.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
Penguins and planes and Cumberbatch, oh my!
Yep.
