I've had the most luck with vanilla Slosher; in general, the three sloshy non-lobby Sloshers are great due to their attacks not having any damage falloff from height differences in addition to their usual TC advantages.
The challenge in general's still been pretty rough for me though.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaUnsurprising. Sloshers have always been good for raining death down on people from on high, so pair that with a challenge where you have max jump height and the kills score themselves
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSLoaded up the game today and an Octoling menacingly strutted into my face yelling "I LOVE YURI." So basically a normal day in the plaza.
After Side Order, name me a splooner who doesn't
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSIs it just me, or are chargers just not the threatening presence they were in Splatoon 1 and 2? Like, I find myself safely avoiding or getting the drop on a charger more often than I did in 1
I don't know about mechanically but a lot of the levels had to be altered with charger blockers because the straightforward layout made it too easy for charges to dominate the game
Forever liveblogging the AvengersFresh Season 2023: The Pole (& Inkopolis Plaza if you got the Expansion Pass) Update.
Yeah, they did... poles to temper their sightlines on their better maps. It makes approaching and flushing them slightly easier.
Chargers are still strong in general this game, just the moshpit map design means it's harder to abuse range and generally the more mobile Chargers are favored. E-Liter's still ran by bullies but it's not the most effective for once, when Splat has sufficient range in most cases without the movement/charge time downsides.
Also, at top level play the best weapon in general's a Charger, that being Snipewriter 5H. It's less for the weapon itself and more that being the sole backline Tacticooler is strong on its own and makes the weapon mandatory.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI always find myself getting one-shot by Chargers if I'm slowed down for even a micro second...
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Inkblot Art Academy is my least favorite stage on using Booyah Bombs, because of that stupid spinning sign that I accidentally get myself caught under, either messing with the camera or forcing me to aim AWAY from the center of the stage.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Besides just looking silly, the poles are too thin to actually protect you from charger shots. Very indicative of the level design problems Sploon 3 had in its first half
I do have to wonder if the trend toward flatter, more open stages is the designers making it harder for ranged weapons to camp

If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I never knew there was a spinning sign on Inkblot Art Academy.
I don't think there is one. Sure you don't mean Museum d'Alfonsino?
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSAssuming I don't win every night, how many matches would I have to play to get my seasonal catalog up by two points? Twenty, the same number that each food ticket gives me?
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned. That varies depending on how full your catalog meter is after your first win of the day and what game mode you're playing. Anarchy gives you more points than Turf War gives you more points than Salmon Run
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSI don't do the ranked modes, but how much do they give compared to turf war? Turf war is 800p for a typical loss and 1400p for a typical win.
Anarchy Battles are generally worth more with a huge payout of ~2500 points for a Knockout, but with the caveat that (like usual) getting knocked out means you don't get any rewards for the fight.
Still, if your winrate's decent enough it's faster overall. Even the matches where you lose are worth a bit more if you survive until the end.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaNice. That's really fast depending on how long matches last, considering they can be 5 minutes plus overtime.
We finally have our Springfest theme
Which disgustingly adorable extinct creature is your favorite? Baby chicks, li'l bunnies, or bear c— oh.
...While we debate whether having a bear-themed Splatfest team is too soon, here's a look at Deep Cut, the Squid Sisters, and Off the Hook (hey look, unused concept designs! please note the heart shape on Pearl's shirt formed by their tentacles) in their holiday outfits

Tried the high jump challenge this morning. It was tower control.
I never got good at the ranked match modes since I love turf war so much, plus a squelcher is an awful weapon for a mode where everyone jumps high. I got my ass kicked.
