Mythril Aces Re(Union): A Rebooted Real Robot RP

Character

• Name: Mira Coltello
• Callsign/Title: Ice Queen
• Faction and Rank: Centauri Sixth Knight
• Gender: Female
• Age: 22
• Appearance: Mira is average height and slender, with pale skin matched by her pale hair, which is cut short. Her eyes are vibrant blue, and around her neck is an orange scarf, a gift from her brother that she wears near constantly. Inside her frame or out, she tends to wear a form-fitting royal-blue flight suit, and is rarely seen without a sidearm or combat-knife at her side.
• Personality: It's been said that, roughly, only one in every fifty soldiers can kill without hesitation. Mira Coltello is one such "two percent-er." Mira demonstrates a surprising ability to disconnect herself from the events of the field. Her manner is blunt and forthright, bordering on robotic, and the only thing known to bring out a serious emotional response in her is a direct threat to a member of her unit above and beyond the usual. This response usually takes the form of a kind of contained rage. In particular, Sharks are likely to bring out this response, as, while she understands the utility of it, its stealthy approach coupled with its lethality can mean a pilot never sees it coming until it's too late, something Mira regards as more slaughter than warfare.
• Backstory: Mira was born to a well to-do family on New Jerusalem, and raised with her elder brother, Alessio, whom she idolized above all others. In those happy days, which Coltello barely remembers now, the pair did more or less everything together, only really separated for any length of time when he came of age and moved on to become a knight. The idea was for him to become a veteran knight and then, when Mira was old enough, he could teach her to become a Centauri knight like him. Such was not to be, sadly. Alessio was killed in the line of duty as a fifth knight. Mira continued along the path they'd agreed upon, however, determined to become a knight just like her childhood hero. Sharpening her skills day in, day out to avenge her brother.
• How you became a knight: Mira demonstrates a consistent level of performance in her missions, and her loyalty to the Commonwealth is absolute. However, one particular incident earned her a place with the knights. In one of the skirmishes neither side acknowledges, her unit's officer was shot down. Morale fractured immediately, and the skirmish turned into a.little more than a rout. Only Mira and a few others held their ground, but by a combination of luck and sheer determination, they held out long enough for the unit to regroup and push back. Several pilots reported hearing a muttered "No compromise," on the channel. Mira denied saying it, however, and it was irrelevant anyway. Her stand demonstrated she had the resolve, and her survival demonstrated she had the skills.

Welcome back Gi G. We can do a quick headcount and boot the inactives. Hydrall has been sick which has cost us a lot of activity.

It's hilarious that no matter how long it's been, "Federation side moves at a snail's pace" is still a universal constant.

Just to ask, is this a whole new continuity or just jumping ahead enough so the last go round doesn't matter

This is about 10 years after the original game ended, although there are some minor retcons to the setting. The Centauri being a Commonwealth instead of a Confederacy, for example, and some serious pruning of the massive number of planets and systems we racked up before as a result of 90% of the worldbuilding being done by the players making shit up as we went along.

Cool, I'll have Kara plus ten years up in a day or so. Need to think of something new for her frame since it looks like her lame gimmick is standard issue now. Or it was in the first place and I just didn't notice at all because I was a moron like that. (EDIT: Nvm, think I'll stick with the Quicksilver). I want to try Kara again because I really had no clue where I wanted to go with her, so I want to try again but with an actual character that makes sense and isn't just a walking psa on blind nationalism.

Just going to throw this up just to have it out there, I can scrap it pretty quick and come up with something else if we have no need for Feddies:

• Name: Kara Cheslock
• Callsign: Echo
• Faction and Rank: Federation, Lieutenant Commander
• Gender: Female
• Age: 32
• Appearance: 5 feet 4 inches, slender build, tan skinned with medium black hair in a loose ponytail, her left eye is blue and her right eye is a deeper blue due to being a prosthetic. The right side of her face is lighter in color due to an incident that took her eye and a portion of her face. Her right arm is also a prosthetic due to the same incident.
• Personality: She is mostly mellow, having outgrown her old stuck up behavior over the years. She's somewhat protective of the people she fights with due to her experiences of being shot down and of being just a general outcast. She's far less fanatical, but still holds the Federation in high regard.
• Backstory: Born on Earth and raised to be a career soldier by her father, her first major assignment was on Midgard, where she served alongside Lilith and others of the 08th. Initially naive and overconfident, being shot down and captured in one of her first engagements before going on to serve with middling distinction served to teach her that she still had much to learn. After Aeris, she went on to serve in various areas, slowly gaining knowledge and experience. During a stint with a defense unit on Skallen, she came under fire by a group of pirates causing her frame Grand Sword, which had been her unit since Midgard, to became heavily damaged in the opening moments. Despite injuries she held them at bay alone until help arrived to fight them off. Despite the attack costing her her limb and eye and putting her on the shelf for a year, plus causing her aging frame to finally be scrapped, she returned to duty with newborn conviction and confidence. She was promoted from Lieutenant, a rank she earned after Midgard, to Lieutenant Commander for preventing additional casualties during the engagement. Since then, she was active in training duties for younger Aces until she was very recently reassigned to the Bodhi System, marking her return to actual combat duties
• Becoming an Ace: She was more or less politic-ed in, her father being a former pilot and making sure that she was on the fast track as soon as she joined by steering scouts towards her way.

• Frame Model: Quicksilver
• Weapons Loadout: MLW 4 Railgun, LFR-B "Little Brother"
• Appearance: Rain Maker is dark Purple in color, with it's right arm colored red and the right side of it's head colored bright blue. An insignia of a right arm holding an eye is placed on it's shoulder.

EDIT: I just read Faux's fanfic for Kara and I'm just here like "Yeah, that would work." Sorry I ruined it.
