Yay, discussions! Also, moved here from the sign-ups.
Can we suggest potential plot lines or story arcs? Like, obviously the first main story arc is 'enrollment and forming the teams', but some possible future ones, off the top of my head:
- The Vytal Festival and tournament
- A sudden Grimm invasion
- Conflict with the White Fang, and possibly human governments/Schnee Dust Company?
- Some sort of war between nations - perhaps a civil war in Atlas, between the Third Court and someone else?
I'm sure the other players can come up with some other possible story arcs/worldbuilding things we could have?
We could always hunt down the guys who ordered the murders of Barry's parents, starting with the murderers themselves and working our way up...
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?That Grimm invasion might include a certain dragon.
You actually haven't answered my question in sign-up...
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Oh, yeah, activating the Juggernaut Stance sucks up more energy proportional to how much gumph he's putting in to it.
Also, 'what happened to the Jade family' is an obvious one, one supposes.
ALSO
Wondering if 'Transition' will come in handy. Do Grimm have bodily fluids that can be instantly solidified/gasified?

Right. Welcome to Beacon!
Ozpin: As for what will happen after initiation...I have many plans.
Glynda: Sir! Please don't tease the students!
We have no idea. I'm thinking the Grimm is like a sentient Dust-monster.

That's assuming Casta says anything about it at all.
Person: Hey what happened to the rest of your family?
Casta: *Stares at*
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperWould we be able to submit concepts for Grimms?
Jack: Okay, sorry, but I have a brief problem. If the men's room is frozen solid, is it okay to use Surt to unfreeze it or will that be property damage?
Good to be backOh god...
Um, Troy, I've actually been following the Humongous Mecha RP, and I've seen your monster concepts...
So...uh....Yeah, I'm not comfortable with them.
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Jabberwocky
Jubjub Bird
Bandersnatch
Grendel
White Knight
Kraken
Lich
Hydra
Apparently back in the day, when anthropologists insisted on having Beowulf be only a historical text, disregarding the poetic merit of the monsters as monsters, it was assumed that Grendel was in fact just a big bear. Maybe Grendel's like an Epic Mob in Grimm form, a really fuckoff-huge Ursa?
An Ursa that's even bigger than the Major? Holy shit.
How about that Gold Dragon that killed Beowolf?
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.I was going to suggest a giant twenty foot tall Ape like grimm.
And yeah, I actually regret about 75% of those creatures.

Good to be backI was going to suggest Grendel, along with the White Night and Lich, be suped up humanoid Grimm.
One is a Lightning Bruiser, the other is a Mighty Glacier and the last is a Glass Cannon, in that order.

A giant Ape Grimm?
....Actually, that I like. I really like.
Welp, if you can post Grimm profiles in this thread, we can all look over them.

Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Conqueror Worms-Mutated King Tajitu, about double to triple size with horns.
Baal-Sea dwelling Grimm, Appear to be monstrous anglerfish, Territorial
Humbaba-A Grimm bull, just as big as an Ursa Major and twice as mean
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?Ogre- A giant grimm, it's bone structure on it's face is rather human like, however, it's body and movements are ape like, it's fast for it's size, and extremely strong.
Basilisk- A small, child sized grim, taking the shape of a bipedal black frog with a single eye, it is notable for it's ability to shoot lasers out of it's eye.
Good to be backI despise Beowulf's dragon. It feels like an afterthought, because the Beowulf epic is probably a lot longer than people think and slaying the dragon was supposed to be like an "ending." I think it'd most likely be just, you know, a dragon Grimm, but perhaps one engineered by the White Fang or other nefarious organizations.
At least it wasn't as bad as the movie. "NO BEOWULF, YOU ARE MY FATHER!!"
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.mongrel pls. Humbaba and the Bull of Heaven are two completely different things
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialAnd now I want to see Nsauverse!Gilgamesh in RWBY.

Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism."I! WILL KIW! YOH MHONSTAH!!"
The movie was atrocious and I don't want to be reminded of it.
A better Humbaba would be a fucking mecha, and the Bull of Heaven could be a Grimm that's, like, worshipped by some weird cult or something.
I've always thought of Humbaba as that thing in FFVI.
