I honestly wouldn't know. I mean, it's a shame the initial director was an evil, inconceivable slimeball of sleaziness, but at the same time, I always thought the movie looked run-of-the-mill anyway.
I mean I can't even fathom how this is possible. How can you have a movie without a director??
Someone else takes over and just doesn't appear credited beyond their original role?
Wake me up at your own risk.Maybe in a perfect world, someone else would take over, see what can be salvaged, and if nothing is salvageable, start from the ground up with a new, shiny vision for the piece.
Unfortunately, that doesn't happen very often, and Paramount doesn't seem nearly as committed to the animation game as Disney or DreamWorks are, so they're probably thinking "let's just throw what we got out there, pretend the sleazy asshat we had as a director didn't exist, and reap whatever menial moolah this little turd will net us." Rinse and repeat.
Meanwhile, we the public (as well as the thousands of crewmembers who poured their hearts out to make this movie as good as they possibly can) are stuck looking like
"All we care about is the TV show. ... which we're already producing anyway. So even if everyone hates it, we don't care."
Wikipedia says "The film was directed by Dylan Brown, who Paramount Pictures did not officially credit due to "multiple complaints of 'inappropriate and unwanted behavior'".
The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, Dylan Brown was fired from the project back when it was under its tentative title "Amusement Park" in Jan 2018.
So much like other (all too common) cases of workplace harassment, Viacom most likely wanted to distance themselves.
As a side note, Youtube was pretty quick with advertising Wonder Park related merch. Considering the film's floating with 5.4 million box office currently, against an 80-100 million dollar budget, I guess Viacom's looking at the long haul for this franchise.
Meanwhile, no one else wanted to take the helm as director out of fear that it'd ruin their careers.
.. again. Conflicting stories. Was there NO director, or did the DGA just prohibit to have them credited because they came onto the movie so late?
IIRC, animation directors cannot be members of the DGA.
Just a person. He/him.Then it's most likely the first story. Then again, what are the chances that NO ONE YOU ASK would want to go on?
So remember that live-action Dora the Explorer movie we're still getting?
And an official title: Dora and the Lost City of Gold
...I still feel uncomfortable about this.
Who are those kids who aren't Dora in the poster?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Diego has to be the guy in the blue shirt and vest because that's the outfit Diego usually wears◊. The others are Dora's high school buddies to my understanding.
Still not sure about how I feel about this movie, myself
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."Trailer premiering at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards this Saturday.
I don't know what worse to bear, a Sonic movie where Sonic looks fugly or the fact that Dora the Explorer is getting a live-action movie.
Maybe both are equally bad.

"Explorer is her middle name."
...... I don't think so.
Yeah, obviously her middle name is "the".
But I digress.

Marquez is her last name.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I just can't wait to see how they handle Swiper. That will make or break this movie.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Danny Trejo is the monkey.
..... if nothing in the posters convinced you this will not have the same tone as the show, THAT should!!
Bubble Guppies seems to be getting a fifth season with new actors, and The Spongebob Musical is touring the US!
The Protomen enhanced my life. Why new actors?
Because alot of the original cast has gone grown older and with the case of Mr.Grouper, died
Child actors can't be children forever (plus, authentic voices are wanted). Just look at Gumball and Darwin, Lincoln Loud and others.
(Hold on a sec! I was overtaken! So I edited it...)

"Scooby Dooby Doo!"
I am getting conflicting stories.
Did they get NO director because no one wanted their career threatened by a bad movie? Or did they have a couple, and the DGA prohibited them from getting credited?
