Just a Face and a Caption: These Hands Have Killed

It's just a girl, looking at her hands. Moreover, she looks positively pristine (not like she was just forced to kill anyone) or like she's suffering any sort of pain. As such it looks more like Contemplating Your Hands.

I'm not sure which trope it illustrates best, Contemplating Your Hands or These Hands Have Killed, as her expression is basically nil. It's sort of like a supertrope image of those two. However, it sort of does illustrate the trope if you take the context of the trope name into account, so it shouldn't be pulled without replacement.

Try to pull a screenshot from it. Might look good.

It doesn't illustrate Contemplating Your Hands at all, since that trope requires the person doing the contemplating to be stoned or high.

While the current is bad to, a image from the video would have the same problem. We need a case where someone actually has blood on their hands while looking at them, I think.

I'm sure we can use it, but it's more qualified for Blood on These Hands, which is almost the same trope.

... actually, going by the descriptions, that would be awful for Blood on These Hands, which apparently is explicitly about metaphorical blood. In fact, showing a picture with blood on the hands without a second person would constitute misuse.

I'll make the thread.

I don't think the current pic works for this or Contemplating Your Hands. She looks too action-y for 'contemplating' and there's no sign of death for 'killed.' I'd like the current for this if we saw a body on the ground and a weapon that she just dropped.

So, what does everyone think of my suggestion up there?

Definitely an improvement. I'll give it a plus one, pending something else.

No one's really saying it's a good example for Contemplating Your Hands or recommending it be moved, but rather that it's just a crappy example for this trope because of its exactly as good for that trope as it is this one.

The pic for Blood on These Hands would better suit this trope, according to what's been said here. There's a proposal to remove it being discussed in this forum. If it succeeds, that image could be used for These Hands Have Killed.

I kinda don't like how over-the-top it is, it looks more like confusion/indifference than regret for killing or contemplating the act of killing. I suggested the one because it's subtle and he's clearly pondering what he's done and the source of the blood on his hands.

I can see that and it's definitely a good image.

The reason I still think the from from Blood on These Hands works is because the woman is clearly comforting him, which illustrates the emotional part of the trope well, I think.
