I'd still take the plane.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I'm surprised they're using Howard the Duck since Marvel and Lucasfilms both have a reason to not use him.
It's been 3000 years…Evidently they're trying to rehabilitate him.
I see they're apparently using the design they started using in the comics, which was essentially a take on the movie costume. I've got to admit I wish they would use the original design from the Steve Gerber comics, but God knows I doubt - even though Marvel's owned by Disney now - that they will...
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Would that be the same design as Howard’s GotG 2 cameo?
Peace is the only battle worth waging.IIRC, Disney specifically asked Marvel to change Howard's design back in the 80's so he wouldn't resemble Donald Duck so much. That's why Howard wears pants now.
Say, what if Disney made an animated Science Fantasy movie?
You mean Treasure Planet?
I was thinking more like a world where magic and technology coexist. One scenario I see is the villain being an Evil Sorcerer who employs 21st Century-style troops and even creates technological devices powered by magic.
He means like Atlantis
New theme music also a boxRandom thought, but hell, here it is.
Someone posted an oral history of the Disney Afternoon some time back, and while it's a good read, it only goes up to Goof Troop. Am I the only one who'd want to read an oral history of what the rest of the 90s was like for Disney's TV animation department? The shows based on movies, Raw Toonage, Shnookums And Meat, Bonkers, Gargoyles, all the way up to the One Saturday Morning block?
Considering how many different people were involved in all that it'd definitely be an interesting read.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Disney just dropped concept art for the the big EPCOT Future World Remodel, and it actually looks amazing, with a ton of callbacks to old school EPCOT. (I’m excited they will finally be removing those leave a legacy stones that make the opening Plaza feel like a war memorial.)
I’m just glad EPCOT is getting some love. It desperately needs it, because the last time I went, it was just sad. Everything felt dated and half of it was simply abandoned, with no signs of replacement.
I Ps are inevitable, and not even necessarily a bad thing, but what I really want is for them to do something with Figment. they know people love him

It'd be nice if Disney made a film about wild canines one of these days. I've noticed their nice wolf designs in films like BATB and Frozen, but they haven't done anything about wolves themselves. I'd prefer not doing gray wolves as they're so overdone, but I wouldn't care either way.
Pixar movie about a pariah dog plz.
Peace is the only battle worth waging.Have any of you guys heard about the intended Thunder Mesa expansion to Magic Kingdom's Frontierland? There was going to be a mine train coaster, a Log Flume, and an Old West themed Dark ride in the style of Pirates designed by Marc Davis, Western River Exedition. Sadly, due to fan demand to bring over Pirates of the Caribbean, budget cuts, and need for large capacity attractions, it was eventually scrapped.
Tony Baxter presented a reconstruction of a walk through of Western River Expedition at D23 a few years back.

Another log flume? Splash Mountain is already part of Frontierland.
Peace is the only battle worth waging. Can't have enough log flumes when you're in the hot swamps of Florida.
Thunder Mesa sounds awesome. I wish it came to fruition.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Thunder Mesa was planned long before Splash Mountain was even conceived.
Western River Expedition was actually intended to be Disney World's version of Pirates, since the imagineers thought that Florida was too close to the real Caribbean, which was why Disney World opened with no Pirates of the Caribbean. Several of the concepts did end making it into Splash and Big Thunder though.

Does anyone know whether this example about Treasure Planet is true or not?
- What Could Have Been: In the theatrical release, there was a scene where after being injured, Captain Amelia looks at her hand, which is covered in blood. It showed that her injury is indeed very serious, but was cut for home release because of being very bloody. In fact, a number of discs were recalled from shops because the scene just got that far.
I've seen this statement over and over but I've never been able to find any proof of this scene. Not a video, screencap, or even it being described by someone who actually saw it. It's always been vague "Somebody told me" sort of statement.
I'd cut it for being bullshit and unproven,it's surprising what people put as an example
New theme music also a boxx6
I suspect that the Native American scene would either need to have been retooled or would have probably been subject to much renovations later on had the ride been fully realized.
That seemed like the most obvious scene to not survive in the 2010s.
Remember how Emma Thompson up and left a movie called Luck because of John Lasseter's involvement?
She actually wrote a letter to the producers explaining the situation a lot more.
#LoseLasseterAgain
Got a tl;dr of that?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I can try.
Emma Thompson up and left Luck because it was the right thing to do and she left a series of armor piercing questions that boil down to "what good is hiring Lasseter going to bring in the long run?"

Maybe. I didn't even think of that. It wasn't mentioned though, I have no idea.
