Serenity, but only up to the part where Mal fights that black guy in the temple or something.

Seems interesting. Might find a way to watch the whole thing.

Kill Bill Volume 1. Before that, The Machinist. Considering that creepy picture of Christian Bale from the latter that's floating around the internet (which wasn't near as much of a close-up in the film itself), I'm surprised there weren't more scares in it.

Somehow you know that the time is right.

Comic Book Confidential.

I realized a few minutes in that I'd already watched it at some point in a class, probably intro to comics. I still got a few things for my research paper from it.

don't know why they needed the twist ending

Because it was in the book?

Dreadfully dull book, it was, too. If I hadn't been two hundred miles into the East African bush with bugger all else to read, I probably wouldn't have finished it.

Pulp Fiction. It was actually a bit of a let-down. I mean, it was nice, but I don't understand why it's treated like one of the best movies ever.

Maybe Tarantino is just not my cup of tea.

Wreck It Ralph.

Great movie. Brings back alot of arcade memories. I can't believe they manage to get the right to all those classic characters.

I finally saw Prometheus. It's kind of weird to me that this has such a Love It or Hate It reputation, because I personally found it pretty average. The best aspect of it is the effects, and the worst is sort of having an Idiot Plot.

Oz The Great And Powerful.

It was okay. Some good things, mostly bad things. It's very pretty, but the acting is very weak and the script needed work. Evanora has to be overthrown because...we need a plot, I guess? Except for one scene, I never really got the "help, help, we're being repressed" vibe they were trying to convey.

Looking for some stories?

Part of the Julien Temple epic about the only decent British punk rock group, The Sex Pistols, and the forces that led to their rise and to their destruction - The Filth and the Fury.

Very artsy fartsy in places but what I saw had a consistent vision that was admirable in its laser focus on those above mentioned forces.
