At least the Kings will probably lose to the Hawks as well
Good god the Penguins are going back in Philly mode.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterFor the 1st time in 20 years, the New York Rangers are in the playoffs. Amazing :)
Playoff time, finally. This is going to be fun, though I am worried about how my Habs will fare-Ottawa really has our number for some reason. Also, I'm wondering how being the favorites and home ice will work for us, considering the last couple times we had that.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonBetween the Ottawa-Montréal games and the Vancouver-Calgary ones, this is going to be an epic first round for the Canadian teams. I'm cheering for Winnipeg to make it to the second round, too, but I don't have high hopes for that.
Cheering for Vancouver (my home team, or as close as no matter) in the west. I'd be happy regardless of whether Ottawa or Montréal wins - both teams have players I really like, especially Price and 'Hamburgler' - but I feel like Montréal is the Canadian team with the best chance of making it to the Stanley Cup playoff. And I really want a Canadian team to win the Cup.
If by some miracle Montréal and Vancouver both make it to the Stanley Cup finals, I will of course be cheering for the Canucks.
VAN is my second favourite team. It's just too bad one of you or CGY has to lose, and I will be cheering for the Jets as well. I'm hoping that Hamburglar regresses now: It's not a question of "if but "when"-his numbers are just unsustainable. I'm just hoping it happens now. Habs always lose to the Sens as well, no clue why. MTL is just better in pretty much everything except for depth scoring and coaching.
As a side note, I'm happy that LA and the Bruins didn't make it.

EDIT:That goal is conclusive proof that Finagle's Law is true. EDIT 2: 15 seconds apart! First the guy who went to my school, and then the Turtlenec.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonWow, that was a fantastic game! Amazing second period.
I'm also happy that LA and the Bruins didn't make it.

HAAABBBSSSS WIIIINNNN!!!! WOOOT!
4th line really brought it tonight. Torrey Mitchell is the only NHL player to graduate from my school, so I'm happy for him. Good luck to the Nucks, I'm rooting for them.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonGame 2: Ugh, nice shot by Mac Arthur. Habs better make up for that.
EDIT: Wohoo!CHUCKY! what a brutal turnover by Ottawa.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI refuse to lose another series to Craig FUCKING Anderson.
EDIT: And then we didn't. Jesus Price saves the series.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonThe stage is now set for the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs! Here are the brackets and schedules.
- Eastern Conference:
- Florida Panthers vs. New York Islanders
- Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Detroit Red Wings
- Washington Capitals vs. Philadelphia Flyers
- Pittsburgh Penguins vs. New York Rangers
- Western Conference
- Dallas Stars vs. Minnesota Wild
- St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks
- Anaheim Ducks vs. Nashville Predators
- Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks
As for who I'm rooting for, well, look at my location. The Flyers clinched their playoff spot with their win on Saturday, but the team will be entering the playoffs with heavy hearts, as their founder and owner Ed Snider passed away this morning.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.BEAT LA
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterTonight's Flyers vs. Capitals game 3 was really painful to watch. The Capitals power play was making mincemeat out of us as players and even fans kept getting penalties. Flyers lost 6-1 tonight and are one loss away from getting swept.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Well, the Flyers got eliminated today. They did manage to make up for the horrible loss in game 3 by winning the next two before losing in game 6. They made a good run this season, though.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Yeah, good on the Flyers. Still salty about the Habs WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO COACHING CHANGES COME ON MANAGEMENT ARE YOU BLIND
I'm going to bandwagon with the Sharks.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonTampa advances to the Eastern Conference finals.
As do the Pens. I get the feeling nothing short of season-ending injury is going to stop them.
EDIT because I don't like bumping threads for the sake of bumping: Why do I feel more curious about what happens in the West Finals this year? As my location indicates, I don't live there.

I love this team so much
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterYeah, I like the Sharks quite a lot.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas Edisonthe question is: do i buy a Burns or a Pavelski jersey once the season is over?
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twitter
But I wanted them to win because the Blackhawks are too good, and it would've been a better match up for the Sharks :(
