I noticed lack of one general thread regarding Warhammer Fantasy, so I decided to create a one. :)
Not only Warhammer Fantasy Battle discussions welcomed, but also all things related to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (regardless of edition).
If anyone has questions regarding Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay's second edition, feel free to ask since I own most of its sourcebooks.
Warhammer 40,000 has its own thread here

Games Workshop wishes you a happy Valentines
That wine looks a little weak.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThat's strong.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."There's an Image Pickin' thread about Fantasy Axis of Evil; the pic is an old Chaos Army illustration from Warhammer that I can't find another version of to do an upgrade with. Anyone got a source for it?
I've put some feelers out. It seems to be from the Battle Masters board game, a licensed spin-off of sorts of Warhammer.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."I think it is pre 5th Edition which is when I started but I can't pinpoint it any closer than that. When I saw the thread this morning I was thinking about suggesting a making a pic of models from the various WFB races.

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellIt's definitely a card from Battle Masters, a Milton Bradley/Games Workshop product, much like Heroquest and Spacequest were.
Edit: Ok, I think I've solved your problem: this is a printable version of the game which comprises of two PDFs - one for the rulebook, the other for all the materials you need for the game, including the cards. The card in question is at page 14 of the BM printable V3 PDF.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."As the Total War fans would say...
KISLEV.(..is returning as a faction in The Old World)

Good, the more stuff they get, the more likely it might be that we get Kislev as a faction in TWW 3.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yeah, if GW is already planning to put focus on Kislev's army, I think it's a good sign for their inclusion in the video games.
The ice guard seems like an interesting unit and an interesting bit of lore. I'm glad Kislev's getting new units, generally speaking — they don't really have a surfeit of them as it is.
Another thing I find interesting is that the map explicitly names the Norse Dwarfs. I don't think they've gotten a lot of mentions in recent lore, have they?
No much, in fact they dont get detail in the end times and it was josh reynolds in his ask who shed light of what happen(and was told not too by GW, the gitz).
Also I like this map, it feel more big and cleaner than before.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I remember there's like one Karak in Norsca or somewhere like that that's managed to hold against the Norscans for a really long time. But not sure. There's a few in the game in like one region, too.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The main one would be Kraka Drak, the biggest remnant of the Dwarfs' old colonies in the Norscan mountains. The RPG's first dwarf sourcebook mentions three more, Kraka Dorden, Kraka Ornsmotek and Kraka Ravnsvake, as secondary in size and influence to it.

Araby, Albion, Estalia, Tilea, Border Princes, Cathay, Kingdoms of Ind, Khuresh, Eastern Steppes, Marshes of Madness, Nippon, WHEN? (though really a few of those are just the names of region and the presumed factions haven't been hammered out)
Granted, Kraka should be a mistake because the oficial name for a fortress is Karak.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"That would be "Kazad", actually. "Karak" means "enduring" (in the sense that a mountain, say, is enduring).
I'm not sure what "Kraka" means; possibly the Norscan dwarfs speak a slightly different form of Khazalid from the others.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Norse Dwarfs have their own language and Kraka is their world for hold but, as far as I can see, those last three holds have never been mentioned outside of the RPG so I am not sure if they are still canon (Kraka Ornsmotek is also known as Eagle's Peak Hold and while there is a Karak Peak mentioned in the last Warhammer Armies book, that was further south). The only Norse Holds that I can only find mentioned in the last Armies Book are Kraka Drak (the Dragon Hold) and Khazid Ravik (other minor ones are mentioned but not by name so I would count those three as "possible canon").

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellSo here's something interesting — a fanmade exercise into designing a few new factions to fill in blank areas of the world map. There's some rather admirable effort put into coming up with their identities, origins and place in the world.
Long and short of it, they're a kingdom of Southlands humans who use a mix of regimented infantry and war beasts, Uncanny Valley bird people who take the rejection of Chaos to its all too logical conclusion and Deep One stand-ins who remember a time before the Old Ones came and hate the Lizardmen.
I would like some help with the following example from the Neferata's Age of Sigmar character entry:
- Villain with Good Publicity: She is borderline worshiped by her subjects, as well as other Soulblights (except Mannfred).
The example as written is pretty much zero context as it don't mention how or why her subjects should consider her a villain and I am not too familiar with the AoS novels to expand it (the closest I can find in the Legions of Nagash Battletome is that the living are chattel to their vampire masters but seeing as most of her subjects are vampires I don't know if that would count).
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThe third Warhammer Community online preview had some interesting things:
Age of Sigmar: Sons of Behemat (Gargant/Giant army) and Lumineth Realm-lords magic user◊.
Warcry: A Daughters of Khaine warband
but the "big" news is for Blood Bowl:
SNOTLINGS!!!!!
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellSo like I guess they found Ogre Kingdoms just wasn't Timmy enough and had to make Giants next?
Ogor Mawtribes.
Basically, the Sons of Behemat are effectively the Imperial/Chaos Knights of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellYou got as much chance of me saying that as you do making me say Astra Militar-ppppfffff, no, I can't even joke about that.
I mean, it is what it is a this point, you have to do it a some point.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not""Ogor" is easily the worst of the ill-thought-out renames because it's literally just the same word spelled badly.
"Orruk", while still really, really fucking dumb, at least puts in that second syllable. It's trying. It's failing, it's failing really hard actually, but it's trying. "Ogor" is just lazy. It's like trying to copyright cavalry in heavy armour by calling them "Gnytes".
(I have admitted my respect for the work the AOS designers have put into fixing that initial, un-playtested release. I have acknowledged respect for some of their model design. I have even found Stormcast models that I like, specifically the second wave with the tabards. Do not ask me for more concessions.)

Problem is that would be a massive campain that will grind the empire over and over and it would be brutal, hell even in naggaroth were there is beastman dosent kill them all for that reason: they are just to many bloody beastman.
Also that solution was propose in the in group book about the skaven, that the empire dedicate all is might to destroy the skaven, not matter the cost, including turning worst tham them.
