I got it! Sol, I want you to prepare Fire Pledge, then wait for Koichi to empower it with his Water Pledge!
Sol: <Gotcha! Let's blow this sucker up good!>
-Sol concentrates, placing a trap on the ground.-
Koichi: <We shall join forces for the greater good!>
-Koichi, without losing the horizontal lines on his eyes, places a hand on the ground, giving an additional dose of energy to the attack. Once the Ferroseed rolls into the trap, it bursts into an explosion of flames and water, creating a cloud of vapor and a small rain that fabricates a rainbow over the battlefield.-

-Fuda points to Rowley with his index finger a few meters away from him.-
Rowley! Chain him to the ground!
-Rowley complies by preparing a feather-arrow, with the tip glowing purple. He places it over one of the vines growing out of his hoodie. His eye flashes as he takes aim.-
Rowley: <Your shadow clings to you. You will not be able to leave without freeing yourself from it.>
-Rowley lets go of his grip, shooting the arrow away. It phases through the Ferroseed's body, makes a loop-de-loop and hits the shadow behind the target. The arrow explodes in a burst of purple smoke, casting the enchantment.-
Good. When the time comes, Sol will throw another Flamethrower with Chiquita aiding with a Flying Press just in case it's not enough to stop the enemy.
Sol: <Right! The party's just starting!>
Chiquita: <A darle duro!>

-Jonathan stays silent as he approaches the Ferroseed's unconscious form. He places a hand on it and closes his eyes, relaying a telepathic message.-
Jonathan: (If you dare even think about harming anyone again, I will not hesitate to put you to sleep. But you show promise. You survived the first hits despite being weak to Fire. I'll give you credit for that. I hope you learn your lesson for when we meet again so that you can join us. Take care.)
-Jonathan comes back to Fuda, telling him about the message he gave to the Ferroseed.-
I see. You believe that the little guy can be redeemed. It did say that it wanted to reach greater heights, yes? So let's just have Sol take care of that while making sure that it only fires its needles to our enemies. Do you agree?

Well, here's my attempt to a new character. Hope it goes well.
Trainer's Name: Rodney Valdez

Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Hispanic
Brief Description: Rodney has a scrawny body with tanned skin. He wears a light white tank top, dirty black jeans, a large yellow backpack, and a straw hat. Any Ties to An Organization: Rodney's father is associated with Sailors and has tried in vain to raise him as one. But otherwise, none.
Region of Origin: Sinnoh (Pastoria City)
Backstory: Living in Pastoria City, Rodney was inspired by Crasher Wake to become a powerful trainer. As a young boy, Rodney would pass the time by trying to catch pokemon at the Great Marsh. But he would usually come short. Until one day through luck and determination, Rodney managed to catch himself a Croagunk. This Croagunk become Rodney's best friend and two would grow up together, training to become stronger. However, Rodney's partners were reluctant to support Rodney's wishes and instead wished for him to be a sailor like his father. This delayed Rodney from exploring the region until his parents finally relented. And for his 17th birthday, Rodney got himself a starter, Chimchar, from Prof. Rowen and officially began to start his pokemon journey. Rodney's mostly a fresh trainer with an optimistic demeanor. However, he is easily excitable and sometimes dense. A bit of a homeschooled bumpkin but still a determined fighter.

Obtained: Great Marsh (Pastoria City)
Personality/Bio: Rodney's first pokemon that he caught in the Great Marsh at a young age. Marshall and Rodney became close friends. Like Rodney, Marshall wished to become a strong pokemon. Unlike his energetic trainer, Marshall is more laidback and sometimes lazy. However, when it comes to battles, Marshall is a determined fighter, using his unique poison/fighting type to provide strong battling techniques. Marshall always tries to win his battles through unorthodox methods, often confusing his opponents before providing powerful strikes.
Chimchar ("Charlotte")
Gender: Female
Ability: Blaze
Obtained: Prof. Rowan's Lab (Sandgem Town)
Personality/Bio: Rodney's starter pokemon that he got from Prof. Rowan. As a freshly raised pokemon, Charlotte is generally shy around others and nervous about battling. But she wishes to make her trainer proud by helping him win battles, even if she doesn't understand the ropes quite yet.

This is my first time doing something like this at all. I think I've got all the basics covered but odds are good I missed something.
This character is one I've had in mind for a long time as part of a fanfic idea, but I thought I'd try her out here as a way to play with her and maybe get some inspiration for her main placement. I'm perfectly fine with changing or adjusting things as necessary to fit into the settings better. For that reason, I tried to keep things fairly basic.
Your Trainer's name: Fuka Rubens
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: White
Brief description of their appearance: An adolescent girl with brown/blonde hair worn long just past the shoulders. Wears dresses and skirts for preference and carries her belongings in a shoulder satchel. Her most consistent article of clothing is a dark blue leather-esque jacket made from scales shed by her father's Garchomp.
Any ties to an organization (i.e Pokemon Rangers, regional evil team, many possibilities beyond those): None, though as I post this she might have indirect connections through her mother, who was an adventurer. I'll ponder that one more.
Region of origin: Sinnoh, though her mother is from Johto.
Backstory: Fuka's father is a Pokemon caretaker, a man who cares for the Pokemon that trainers are unable to carry on hand. Her mother is an adventurer who would regale her daughter with tales of exploration and adventure until a Career-Ending Injury forced her retirement. These traits combine in Fuka to create a girl who loves excitement and knows Pokemon better than many of her peers because of exposure to a large variety from a young age.
Fuka sets out with no major destination in mind, simply a desire to have adventures of her own. However, while she has no specific destination, Fuka does have a goal motivating her. What drives Fuka is her mother, who's become increasingly melancholy since her retirement, as she can no longer indulge her wanderlust. Fuka hopes to lift her mom's spirits by returning home with stories of her own to tell just as her mom did for Fuka when she was little.
In terms of personality Fuka is a Genki Girl, usually happy-go-lucky and prone to acting on her whims than on any pre-established plans. Few things make her particularly angry or upset, but she can become serious when needed. Fuka has an absolute adoration of cute Pokemon. However, her father's influence has left her definition of "cute" a bit... skewed, as it involves fangs, scales, and/or the capacity to breathe fire. Even her name invokes this, as "Fuka" is derived from "Fukamaru", the [Japanese] name for Gible, her father's Starter Pokemon. This adoration, along with her upbringing and nature, culminates in a complete lack of fear towards Pokemon that would send grown adults fleeing for the hills. This makes her come off as a Fearless Fool to others at first glance, but that same upbringing has ensured she is not as ignorant as she appears.
Species: Gyarados
Nickname: Gyari
Gender: Male
Ability: Intimidate
Personality/Bio: Fuka's starter Pokemon, lovingly raised from a Magikarp. Because he was raised with care, Gyari is noticeably more docile in nature than the average Gyarados. That doesn't mean it has none of the violent urges common to the species, only that they are more under control than normal. Fuka battles with him regularly to provide an outlet for his more ragey instincts. Because Fuka raised him from an early stage, Gyari is very loyal to her and the one thing that guarantees an angry reaction from him is imminent danger to his trainer. He is also very empathetic to Fuka's mood. When she is upset or agitated, even if she's not outwardly showing it, Gyari's Pokeball will start to shake as well.
Species: Binacle
Nickname: Elanor ("L" and "R", when referred to individually)
Gender: Female
Ability: Tough Claws
Personality/Bio: Given to Fuka by a family friend, Elanor the Binacle is Fuka's second Pokemon. She regards both of the Binacle attached to their rock as separate individuals, often giving them commands or speaking to them individually. The left Binacle is impish and tends to enjoy jokes and pranks. The right Binacle is calmer, tending to keep its more outgoing counterpart focused and in check. Fuka is currently considering changing Elanor's name to "Rainbow" once it evolves to Barbaracle, and giving each segment a corresponding color-based name.
Species: Seviper
Nickname: Lucy
Gender: Female
Ability: Shed Skin
Species: Zangoose
Nickname: Goosey
Gender: Male
Ability: Immunity
Personality/Bio: Lucy and Goosey were captured together. They were imported to a Safari Zone at the same time and promptly went on the rampage once they detected the other's presence. The damage they caused was severe and might well have destroyed the place altogether had Fuka not stepped in. To the Safari Zone's staff's amazement, she walked right between the pair and scolded them into submission for the damage they caused. Deciding they couldn't be trusted not to repeat this if let alone, Fuka captured them both on the spot. Notably, Fuka never considered catching one and not the other, and is confused when asked why she didn't do just that.
The two maintain the genetic-level dislike of one another that their species is known for. However, Fuka is able to keep them in check to the point that she can take naps using Goosey as a bed while cuddling Lucy like a plushie. Fuka often lets them battle under strict supervision to work out their aggression. Both are loyal to Fuka and will even (very, extremely grudgingly) work together at her command or to protect her.
On their own, Lucy is a jolly-natured Pokemon who is quite friendly to non-Zangoose despite her intimidating appearance. She is quite close to Elanor, as she enjoys the left Binacle's pranks and the right Binacle lets Lucy sharpen her tail on their rock. Goosey, in a contrast typical of the two, is much more serious in nature, generally being more protective of his trainer and diligent in getting stronger. Goosey tends to be Fuka's most reliable battler, next to Gyari.

It helps that I looked at a few early posts mentioned people not including it.
Binacle is the most recent addition to Fuka's lineup. I was inspired to add her after a Gym Leader in Pokémon World Tour: United used a Barbacle and, not being super familiar with Pokemon post Diamond/Pearl, looked it up and saw this was one that suited her nicely.
Thanks for the compliments as well. To be fair it's thought out mostly because I've had Fuka in my head in some form or another since FR/LG. Long enough I can even say, without exaggeration, that Fuka was the inspiration for the creation of the Fluffy Tamer trope.

All right. Skimming the main rp thread there doesn't necessarily seem to be a specific preference for this so I'll go with what I'm most comfortable with.

Fuka turned her head in the direction of the noise.
"Meow?" she repeated.
Off the top of her head, Fuka could think of three Pokemon that said "meow". Meowth and Glameow were more common in cities, but Lumiose being a Kalos city a Meowstic was also a possibility. The first two would not be a problem, but a Meowstic might be a different story.
On the other hand, Fuka thought, if it is a Glameow...
Fuka thought of the possibility of catching a Glameow. More importantly, she thought about the possibility of evolving a Glameow and smiled at the idea of a Purugly of her very own.
Fuka frowned. She had never liked the name "Purugly", it always struck her as inaccurate. She'd once tried to get people to call them "Purpretty" but all she had gotten were odd looks and—
"Meow..."
Oh right. Focus, Fuka, focus.
One out of three chance the Pokemon making that noise was dangerous, harmless, or worth catching.
That was good enough for her.
She opened her satchel and looked through it until she found one of her bags of Pokemon treats. They were Goosey's favorite. He wasn't exactly a feline, but he was her only mammalian Pokemon, so she would just have to hope their tastes weren't too different.
With the carrot taken care of, Fuka reached to her belt and collected Eleanor's Poke Ball, just in case she needed a stick, and moved towards the alley...

As Fuka entered the alley she was greeted by the sight of a elderly woman throwing treats to random alley catmons and making meowing noises. If she noticed Fuka approaching she didn't acknowledge her.

As Fuka watched the scene before her, she realized she had failed to consider option number 4, All of the Above. Quite a bit of All of the Above, as she saw the Pokemon she had expected and some she had not, such a a pair of Skitty happily munching on the old woman's gifts or an Espurr dozing on a windowsill.
Her own treats having been rendered redundant, Fuka put her bag back in her satchel. She also, for the moment, shelved any plans on catching any Pokemon. No Pokemon, be they normal or adorable, liked their meals interrupted by random Poke Balls, and it would be foolish to upset as large a group as this.
Plus it was just rude.
Fuka briefly considered going back the way she had come, but she was curious. She wanted to know more. She placed Elenor's Poke Ball back on her belt, raised her hands so they we clearly visible and non-threatening, and stepped to the side so any of the feeding felines could clearly see her if they looked up.
"Hello," she said; hopefully loud enough to get the woman's attention and even more hopefully quiet enough to not startle the cats.
