Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.

Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

and I looked at the TLP proposal, and Driven By A Love Interest had comments from a couple people concerned about Trope Decay, which the sponsor seemingly ignored. They appeared to be in a rush to launch, given what I saw.

Actually, four days usually is rushing things. Three days is the bare minimum, and personally I think it should be better than twice that. You’ll notice that most TLP proposals sit for several weeks before finally going out, that it’s unusual for most tropes to be launched when they’ve been around less than a week. Having a trope marinate a bit usually helps it, in fact. TLP is the time for issues to come up and solve them, not after launch when it needs to be dragged off to the Trope Repair Shop or subjected to a major short term project clean up.
Also, just because people have concerns does not mean they can be ignored and the trope can be launched. I’ve seen loads of tropes that have issues and shouldn’t be launched, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we have to find the solution in order to bring the concerns up. In fact, there may not even be a good solution — there are loads of TLP examples that had to be abandoned for any number of reasons. So yes, you have to be a babysitter sometimes with proposals.
TLP is the toughest, most demanding part of the site. I’ve been here for a number of years, and despite this, I have no desire to subject myself to the demands of creating a new trope.

While it isn't always possible to address every single issue that every single person brings up, you do have to make a good-faith effort at least give a satisfactory response to all concerns.

the stated reason for thinking it might decay was that the description wasn't super clear, and it seems like it might be redundant with the two other tropes mentioned. Or if not redundant, then the distinction was mushy

As for the other draft, you're acting as if none of us tried. We did. Not our fault that we didn't want to just take over your draft and push forward with our own ideas... that's just as much against the rules as ignoring consensus is.

Three days is the bare minimum time that needs to pass to launch a trope, not the countdown til you get to hit the launch button. It's better to get more opinions and address things and take your time, Spellbrand, than to launch something that needs to be kicked back and worked on more. The more refinement and examples a trope gets there, the less likely it's going to end up getting kicked back, unlaunched, or fail to thrive as a trope.
No media will suffer with a trope that takes a while to kick off, but there is suffering with a trope that didn't have enough time to define itself cleanly.

Sure, Ner0014reN might have not said much, but amathieu13 and Tremmor19 both expressed concerns of redundancy with other tropes.
As the text Amonimus quoted above says, while you can’t please everyone, you should make an attempt to address the concerns at hand (that the trope’s definition is redundant with others). Does it take much effort to respond to two tropers? Even with Ner0014reN, it’s at worth asking why they think Trope Decay will occur. It’s entirely possible their concerns could be wrong or misplaced, but again, does it take much effort to respond a single troper?
Other tropers’ role in the TLP is not only to “bring enough attention and vote whether or not that draft should or shouldn't have tropes” (did you mean hats?). Feedback regarding a trope’s scope, definition, title, etc. is all crucial.

No. It is not hard. So do it. Address the concerns. If you can write up a trope, you can distinguish it from existing tropes and write how it relates to them.
Scratch Damage Enemy launched without any folders and the OP adding a picture that is Just a Face and a Caption. Unsure if that's severe enough a modification to warrant bringing back to the draft, but thought I'd bring it up.

Coincidental Disguise-Complementing Trait was recently launched as Coincidental Disguise, Complementing Trait. As far as I know, no one was made aware of this change in grammar. During this trope's time in the TLP, it was my understanding that the trait was coincidental, not the disguise.
