This is the head of the Gambino family enforcers. He'll probably be making an appearance several arcs into the story, along with others of his crew who I'll detail as I can.

Name: Carmine Mangano

Title: "Poisoner"

Age: 38

Gender: Male

Allegiance: Gambino Family

Appearance: A tall man, roughly around Brooke's height, powerfully built. Face is thuggish, but also very intelligent.

Role: Head Enforcer for Gambino Family

Personality: Carmine is a cruelly pragmatic individual, even more so than his masters. He takes no chances and is very thorough when he is given an assignment. Has been known to kill not only the families of those who anger the Gambino Family, but also extended relatives, friends and acquaintances. He does not flinch from doing whatever he wants to do in pursuit of his goals.

Nationality: East Blue Citizen (of Alabastan descent)

Devil Fruit: Mushi Mushi Fruit, Model: Scorpion

Skills: Carmine is an expert brawler and wrestler and knows his way around firearms fairly well. His main strength is his Devil Fruit ability, which he has spent many years mastering. Using his Fruit he can not only assume the standard three Zoan forms, but is also able to perform the more difficult feat of only partially transforming at any given time. This enables him to create exoskeleton body armor and manifest venom spines on his wrists, among other things.

History: Carmine has been with the Gambino family since his youth. He stole the Mushi Mushi Fruit early in his career and used its power to ascend the ranks within the family, becoming the current head of the family's most trusted servant at the age of 27. Since then he has performed his duties with ruthless dedication, with no sign of weakness until the incident one year ago, when the magician Remy Le Grande's escapades shook the family. Having only narrowly missed killing the magician during their last encounter, Carmine begs his master every day for permission to go and finish the job.

• Skills: Decent with a generic sword, enhanced strength due to fishman status.
• Items: One generic sword, with a floating Coating Bubble around her at all times.

I think I'd like to play in the Davy Back, so here's two members of the pirates they'll be going against. They can hold whatever position in the crew ya want, but I've been itching to play 'em for a while now.

Name: Jathibiyya

Ephithet: Steel Trapper

Personality and History: Much like her daughter, Gazbiyya, but taken Up To Eleven in terms of Genre Savvy and Flynning aspects. An eccentric and a strategist, Jathibiyya made her way as a Bounty Hunter while raising her daughter in her hometown of Loguetown for many years before becoming a pirate. Unlike Gaz, she doesn't feel much loyalty to her home as it is associated in her mind with her rough childhood being poor and afraid. With the pirate era came increased danger but also a chance to make money. Now, Jathi considers herself retired. She still has a miserly obsession with money, but most of her energy just goes into having fun, which is why she chose to join a crew that is both near her daughter and regularly participates in the Davy Back.

Appearance: Basically just an older version of her daughter. Like often happens in the One Piece world, she's retained a lot of her beauty while still looking like the fifty-something woman she is.

Skills: Strategy, cunning and skill when grappling and fighting with weapons. Jathi was raised fending for herself so she knows her way around any position you can put her in. She's very strong for her size and incredibly agile, able to balance with ease on tightropes and tight spaces. Also knows how to pilot a boat fairly well.

Weapon Of Choice: The Spider Spears. Two Steampunk-y spears built with grappling ends which can shoot out and ensnare opponents and hook nearby structures.

Name: Levi

Ephithet: Stick-Man

Personality and History: Ambiguously Jewish, usually silent and pretty aloof most of the time, Levi is the husband of Jathibiyya and the father of Gazbiyya. With that we can skip out on a lot of that "history" business now. The difference is that his family has a long legacy of being pirates which he has obviously followed with. This made his romance with a former bounty hunter difficult, but love finds a way. He doesn't interact much with his family anymore, although he's stuck with many of their traditions including the ability he was attached to early in his life.

Family: Besides the two introduced already, Levi has quite the extended family of pirates. We may see more of his family in this RP but trust me, it would be confusing. All of his male relations have Stick-based powers is what you need to know. Besides his Haru Haru, the Stick family includes the holders of the Sutekk Sutekk (Stick Stick) Logia Fruit and the Konchuu Konchuu no Mi, Model: Walking Stick Zoan Fruit, among other Stick-related powers and fighting styles. Levi no longer sails with his family.

Appearance: Tall and thin like most members of his family, Levi stands at about nine feet and wears a triangular straw hat that's about as wide as his whole body. Despite all of this, he's completely human and somehow hasn't sullied his daughter's appearance with his long face and droopy eyes. Levi is well-dressed and maintains a neat beard.

Abilities: An excellent sailor and powerful boxer with a lot of reach. Besides this, Levi can trick, trap and surprise his opponents with the power of his...

Devil Fruit: Haru Haru no Mi, Paramecia Fruit, also known as the Stick Stick Fruit. Levi can attach any two objects to each other simply by touching them together. These objects are stuck like glue until Levi either loses consciousness or unattaches them. Levi has been using this power for over 60 years, since he was born, so he is incredibly skilled and creative with it.

Although it is a bit odd as to why Bounty Hunters would be on a ship. I would prefer it if they were actually part of the ship, whether by losing a Davy Back fight while being hired by another ship... or something.

History: Fennec is one of the geniuses who was part of Vegapunk's team in weapons development. She specialized in developing tech that approximated DF abilities (e.g. the Pacifistas' lasers which were based on Kizaru's DF).

Fennec got into trouble with the WG (what trouble exactly shall be explained later) and is now on the run. She's now making a living building and selling technology that was previously exclusive to the Marines.

Plot Significance:

• Her products, all branded with a red fox head emblem, are now circulating the seas. You infer what the implications of releasing the following products into the world:
  • A variety of poison-laden bombs and vials, and for those with more money, a gauntlet that can store these poisons and produce a poison that's allegedly half as potent as Magellan's.
  • The laser tech that the Pacifistas have.
  • A "lasso" that can dehydrate enemies akin to Croc's abilities.
  • A crystal that can freeze a wide area of ocean if thrown into the sea. Alternatively, it can be used with a bomblike apparatus, turning it into a freeze bomb.
  • A heavy pole that can generate a gravity field.
  • Various body armor parts that can increase the wearer's strength.
  • And so on.

Nickname: Silvertip

Allegiance: Outlaw/Pirate

Appearance: Waist up, she's a comely female like the mermaids of tales, with an ample bosom,shapely hourglass figure and a pretty face. Her shoulder length black hair is bleached with white highlights. She posseses deep, amber eyes. Waist down, she resembles a slim Silvertip Shark. She usually wears a single piece blue bodice with silver decorations, and covers her lower half with blankets, while sitting on a wheelchair, effectively disguising her mermaid tail for the sake of privacy. Underneath, she has strapped a full set of knives on her waist.

Role on the Ship: Cook / Hostess/ Underwater Fighter /Scout

Personality: Sae is usually a mellow, gentle person who tries her best to be of service of those around her. A good samaritan and a bleeding heart, she can't help stopping by the road to help people and feed those starving. She usually puts a lot of faith in people, regardless of their appearence. However, a darker side of hers exists. If people threaten her acquaintances, innocents on her presence, or simply vex her, she can be as vicious as her shark half. Possesed by an unseen bloodthirst, Silvertip is swift and merciless, guided by a certain twisted form of predatorial cunning.

Race: Silvertip Shark Mermaid from Fishman Island

History: Born from the union of a known bar hostess and a certain promising guard, young Sae was blessed with a lot of love from both her parents. While she showed a great deal of potential as a warrior, ultimately her gentle mermaid nature prompted her to follow her mother's footsteps as a hostess and a cook. However, her fishman father never gave up in training her, no matter how adamant she was in cooking. The result was that Sae became a cook capable of filleting and serving large dishes of sea monsters without breaking a sweat.

Eventually the worm of exploration bit Sae, and joined a naive and ill-fated expedition of mermaids under a single teenager fishman in order to explore the world above and beyond Fishman Island. Hours later, every single mermaid was captured and in the process of auctioning them to greedy owners who wanted exotic merchandise. They all had been betrayed by the fishman.

Sae snapped.

What ensued was a single-member orchestra of destruction, starting with an enraged silvertip shark mermaid biting one of her captor's face off before jumping in the sea, and using a combination of Mermaid Combat and some skills with filleting knives sinking a ship whole. All the mermaids were set free, and returned to their island. All but Sae. Now branded as Silvertip and hunted down by the government, she had no choice but to flee, in order not to endanger her island.

She eventually settled down in a remote place called Platinum Island, starting a small restaurant business called Treasure Trove. Her efforts are somewhat constantly endangered by pirate brawls and other kinds of unruly hazards such as dine and dash.

Skills: - As a mermaid, she is one of the fastest swimmers of the sea, able to outspeed almost anything. She usually uses said speed to her advantadge in underwater fights. Like all mermaids, she can also breathe underwater, communicate with fish, and withstand extreme pressures. Her shark inheritage make her teeth sharp, and her bite is closer to a fishman than a human in terms of strength.

- Being trained by a tough fishman guard, Sae is versed in the art of Mermaid Combat (The equivalent of Fishman Karate to merfolk) and thus can manipulate bodies of water to aid her in her combat. She is unable to do it outside water, though, on virtue of being in a wheelchair.

- Her skills with knives can easily match those of average swordmen with their respective weapons.

- She can cook a wide variety of dishes worthy of nobles, with seafood being her forte.

- She is well versed in the Kenbunshoku Haki, and thanks to the shark bioelectric sense, she is thus able not only to pick attacks, but any thought in her immediate vicinity as long as she's immersed in water. This ability is greatly limited in the land, and she can only tell face to face whether someone's lying or not. And not even that if it's a good liar.

- Unknown to her, she has potential for the Haoshoku Haki, which can exceptionally leak in uncontrolled bursts when she's in a life or death situation. Similarly she has potential for the Bushoshoku Haki aswell, but this has yet to manifest.

Right so you can go with her serving the bar on Platinum Island. I will edit my last post to give you a customer, carried forward from an earlier time in the RP. They can be old chums, or something, he knows her brother or her family or blah blah. You come up with their relation.

• Name: Captain Xander Lae Tanis / Saint Alexander

• Age: 29

• Gender: Male

• Red Baron: Tenryu

• Allegiance: Marine/World Goverment. Acting as liason around.

• Appearance: A rather shaggy, if averagely shaped and toned man. He usually wears dusty, if form-fitting and comfortable uniform. He has dark hair which usually is uncombed, gray eyes, and almost permanent stubble. He doesn't separate from his healing kit and a marine hat. On ocassions he dons his World Noble garbs for ceremonial purposes.

• Personality: Unlike many of his brethen, Alexander is a World Noble concerned with noblesse obligue, or the civic responsibility of world nobles towards their vassals. A no nonsense scarily competent individual, he's known to be reasonable enough to bend the rules. He's also a strong supporter of the marine cause and the goverment, despite its flaws, since he acknowledges it's one of the few orderly statements in a chaotic world.

• Nationality/Race: World Noble.

• D/F: Not applicable.

• Backstory: Born as Saint Alexander, and being like every other World Noble so far, he outstretched his immunity as a teenager and winded up being half-dead, left on an island to rot. Xander was heavily wounded on the Grand Line, but a passing by medic took pity on him and his weakness and as such nursed him to health. This struck a chord within him, and he resolved to learn whatever the old man could offer. He grasped medicine rather quickly, however, that wasn't nearly enough to survive in the hostile waters. During his recovery, at the medic's behest, who was an ex-Marine, he trained both Rokushiki and Haki to strenghten himself enough to travel in the waters and strenghten his own body.

When asked what to do with his newfound power, the old man simply said "use it in the sake of the True Justice." which left him dumbfounded. He has ever since travelled the islands, trying to decipher what he meant with that. He wandered the world, met some friends, and then witnessed the harsh truth of the world. Heartbroken, he returned to Marejois, and decided to change things from inside. He joined the marines and attained status to form a crew. And

• Skills: Xander can use Rokushiki. He also can use all kinds of Haki (but not too exceptionally, and his Haoshoku Haki only really works with weak people and middle size beasts, tops.) He's also a capable swimmer. He's recently learned to to do Rokuogan. He's also an acoomplished medic, and a decently skilled tactician.

• Extra/Misc: NPC Marine who may or not may be friendly depending on the situation. He's known to take pirates in his ranks and use his WG influence to get them pardoned.

She joined the Marine Academy to find and wipe out the crew that was responsible and rose through the ranks moderately quickly and reached the rank of Rear Admiral within a decade and a half of her joining the Academy.

Welcome aboard Rear Admiral. Accepted, but erm, are you sure you don't want to give her more skills than just a halberd? I'm worried she may be a bit outmatched (I like the idea of Sasaki being a Rear-Admiral)

Now a bit of a summary of the marine status which will also go in the main post.

There are currently 4 active marines. Vice-Admiral Akauma (Red Horse, now Admiral, but he doesn't like being called it), mean temper, protege of Akainu, dislikes most people. Rear-Admiral Ziiro, quite mellow, has devil fruit which can create vacuums. Then we have Captain Vanilla, wild and crazy destructo-queen. There's also Captain Dex. T. Rose, your generic NPC marine for multipurpose usage. They Fight Crime!.

• Skills: Cole is ambidexterous, and a deadshot with his pistols, he is also an incredibly skilled swords man, navigator, and extremely knowledgable about the navy.

• History: Shane is a librarian. About a year ago he found a strange fruit growing in his backyard and took a bite of it. It tasted like old dirty socks. Since he bit into the fruit he could pull words out of books. Because of this people started avoiding him. The only people he gets to communicate with now are the people from foreign places that don't know about his power. He is currently LOST.
