Real Life Writes the Plot is an index with no examples. However, it is very widely misused as a trope.
What should be done to fix this? Rename or add examples?
An index, or not an index?

Tough call. If the examples fit the subtropes, then obviously they should be using the appropriate subtrope, but if there are examples that don't, then we should probably redefine this as a supertrope.
(And the reason I say "tough call" is because it's going to require work, rather than guesswork, to find the right answer.)
I think using it as a supertrope could be fit, although it would definitively be trivia then.
Also, some of the tropes, like Killed Off for Real, isn't necessarily because of any Real Life events. That means it's not a supertrope to all of the listed tropes. But would the index still cover them as well, or should they be removed?
