‘Supposed to be’ being the operative words there. The only way to actully stop a child watching inappropriate stuff is the monitor what they’re watching as they watch it.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranThe core the of most of the problems regarding the platform can be chalked up to bad parenting. Parents want to use it as a digital babysitter. The thing is if you leave children to their own devices on the internet unattended they're going to get into areas that they shouldn't. And instead of taking responsibility they place all the blame on the platform.
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.Sadly, "Not Interested" doesn't apply to the "Up Next" section. For some reason Game Theory, iDubbbz, Jim Sterling, Lindsey Ellis, Sardonicast, and Zero Punctuation (all things I have hit the "not interested" button for) were there on a video about My Hero Academia.
What did you do wrong, My Hero Academia, to warrant such spite?
As for blocking channels you're not interested in, I know there are browser add-ons. Still, I use Brave as my browser and I have no intention of sacrificing its speed for You Tube's recommendations to look normal.

Tell me more about this... Brave.
Wait, are you being sarcastic?
First time I'm hearing of this new browser, interesting
New theme music also a boxI've honestly never heard of it.
This video explains why i don't like some of the videos my niece is watching.
I’m pretty sure we all understand the why, the point being made is that You Tube isn’t going to do anything about it, the only way to control what she’s watching is to sit next to her and control what she’s watching.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranNot overly fond of the video when he's being all "We don't understand how the system works" when the actors who are abusing it DO understand it, and quite well. Like, I find his entire premise flawed.
It's not "Wow Technology has grown so fast". It's "Someone's abusing the shit out of the system, maliciously, and neither parents nor youtube care enough to do anything about it."
Is anyone else having total lack of audio from Youtube videos today? Hell, I tried viewing a few other online videos from other sites like Vimeo, and they're similarly audio-less. Strangely, the issue is non-existent when I view the videos via smartphone.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. You sure it isn’t just a problem with your computer? Can you get any audio out of it?
Update: My brother and mother said they faced the same problem before, and it turns out it might be a browser issue because restarting it fixes the issue. Which I just did, and it worked. Strange.
My video player and other audio (that is, anything that doesn't require an online connection) had worked just fine, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a hardware issue.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. This of course should've happened years ago.
The sad part, in the short run at least, it'll be a boon for Jones. He's long liked to pretend his show doesn't make millions when peddling is wares to his audience. Acting like he's barely remaining afloat. Now the very public housting from Facebook and Youtube will add a real veneer of "The show, nay your very rights, are at risk!" his audience will gobble up. He'll rake in the dough.
I don't exactly hold the hope he won't be able to find a place to host his videos. And Youtube still has an army of his brainwashed idiots to both parrot his views and make sure his audience can still find him.
It wasn't even his views that got him in trouble here, is the thing. It was only because he violated YouTube's guidelines that they put the foot down and decided to not host him any more.
I'm sure there's more popular channels out there with more disgusting views that YouTube turns a blind eye to just because they follow the rules, y'know?
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaLets be honest, he's been breaking Youtube guidelines forever. They just decided that they cared this time.
Info Wars should have ended years ago in general, not just on social media links.
I'm actually surprised they decided to ban him. You'd think with all the crap he's saying, they'd have him as one of their pre-roll ads.
The Logan Paul vs KSI thing is shaping up to be a multi-million dollar event - more than 100 million stands to be made.
KSI recently made an attempt to be even worse than Logan ever was, mocking Logan as less of a man for getting maimed by a dumb stunt, starting a "she's a whore!" chant about Paul's girlfriend, displaying an A God Am I complex, and using some rather disgusting language besides.
Well I'm told these wrestling events aren't for the faint of heart to begin with. They're crass and loud and the people involved aren't good role models in the slightest - you don't really go to a pre-fight press conference to see gentlemanly behavior and kind words being tossed around. Logan and KSI are working the crowd here.
So all of this is kind of fascinating in a weird way.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Why does everyone keep paying attention to Logan Paul!?!
For the reasons Soble just said, man.
Watch SymphogearPretty much - the kinds of guys in these boxing matches are most often not what people would consider a "good role model". Still would quite like to get Logan's fighting shape workout routine.
Blond Idiot vs. Chauvinistic Gamer, watch them pummel each other.
I just talk about this kind of thing because it amuses me.
Now, as for who would win the fight...seems Paul has the longer reach and experience in combat sport (high school wrestling or so I heard).

You could also try deleting the YouTube App and replace it with the YouTube Kids App. That App is supposed to be better at filtering out inappropriate content.
