Si Vis Votum - Alternate Universe Crossover RP

Whelp, I'm back! And wondering if I should make another character.

Well, welcome back! And if you feel that you can handle another character, then go for it! Just remember that the RP is actually moving past the prologue now, and you might not get to actually use him/her until we've hit another intermission.

Thank you! Yeah, that's why I'm a little hesitant. Sometimes I lose the drive for playing the character if it's been too long.

I think it's best to just wait until the first world is done and then see if you still want to play it.

I think I'll wait for a bit longer and follow it along. Maybe make comments in the discussion until near the end of the first world. Then I might have an idea of someone to play.

I think so.

Since I'm still thinking about dropping Fate, I've two questions.

1. Can I use an AU version of a real person? I've a strange idea for an AU version of Gaius Cornelius Tacitus (yes, the Badass Bookworm historian-legionnaire-civil servant).
2. Can I take an established character which is, in a sense, already an AU version of another character? I'm thinking about taking someone from Ikki Tousen; most of the characters there are Gender Flipped versions of Romance of the Three Kingdoms characters.

1. Tempting, but no. Sorry. 2. Yes, as long as your character is an alternate version of the character from Ikki Tousen.

Name: Eustache "full metal" Elric

• Age: 18
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: Because it was this character which gave me the idea◊ to do this◊
• Personality: Immature, stubborn and strongwilled. Prone to bouts of violence and is an sarcastic cynic. Foul mouthed and quick tempered. Basically Edward elric minus all of his good qualities.
• Powers and Abilities: A supurb hand to hand combatant and a crack shot with a pistol. He weilds a magic gun containing the soul of his brother. He has it in him to conduct Alchemy but it is locked inside him only ever being able to be tapped into in times of stress.
• Backstory: Once upon a time in the west. There roamed two of the meanest teenage hombres that ever roamed the badlands. Their names were Eustache “gunslinger” Elric and Alphonse “the kid” Elric. Hoping to survive alone after the death of their mother and their abandonment at the hands of their drunk of a father they pulled bank jobs in order to keep themselves fed.

It was during a job in Central city when their lives changed forever. A job they pulled was botched and they ended up In Central city national library. Al was filled full of holes and was near death. Eustache searched and searched for medical books to help him and stumbled upon dark Alchemical secrets. Tapping into a power he never knew he had. He used the secrets within the book and transferred his brothers soul into the one thing near him his revolver.

Missing his leg and arm as payment he was captured by Sheriff Mustang and his marshals, Hawkeye, braeda, Havoc, valman and Fuery. Fixed up and made to work for them to pay off the debts he and his brother owes. Elric brings the law to this lawless town and fights against the corrupt government led by “Boss” Bradley and the seven sins gang.

• Age: Um, seventeen-ish? I've no idea.
• Gender: female.
• Appearance:
• Personality: Hakufu is not the sharpest pencil in the drawer. She's simple, simply desiring to fight the strongest Fighter there is. However, she's really a nice girl, and once the fight is over she's willing to be friends with everyone, including the person she beat into a pulp not a moment ago. She's also a bit lazy and likes to eat a lot.
  A tip: Don't call her an idiot. It does not end well.
• Powers and abilities: Hakufu has inherited the Magatama*
  勾玉
  soulstone of Sun Ce. It confers several useful abilities:
  • Increased speed, power, and durability, even more so than other Fighters.
  • She is able to learn martial arts extremely fast.
  • However, the Magatama also contains Sun Ce's soul, in the form of a Dragon, which sometimes takes over her. In this state, she becomes stronger, faster and much more durable, her eyes change into cat-like ones, and she gains claws. The dragon also warps her personality, causing her to become bloodthirsty and try to kill everyone around. In a nutshell: a Superpowered Evil Side.
• Backstory: In this universe, Hakufu and Ukitsu did not throw their Magatamas away in the middle of their duel. Rather, Hakufu somehow managed to come to terms with the soul in hers', though she killed Ukitsu in the process — Shuuyuu even theorised that it was the death of Ukitsu that calmed the Dragon. She was taken to the Votum not long after.

Since I made Hakufu's signup about two months ago, and in the meantime I've lost all interest in Ikki Tousen, I think I'll write up a signup for someone else instead. Three cheers for Riot Force 6 Forward Kanetsugu Naoe!

• Name: Naoe Kanetsugu (Japanese order). Callsign Lightning 5-i.
• Age: Unknown; I assume early twenties.
• Gender: Male.
• Appearance: Barrier jacket◊; civilian clothes◊.
• Powers and Abilities: Kanetsugu is a Nanohaverse Mage. His Intelligent Device is his sword, Evil's Bane◊, nicknamed EB. He is a mixed-ranged fighter, sporting both short- and long-range spells. Rather than using Cartridges to power his spells up, he uses a deck of Ofuda; the seals contain magical energy as well as serving as foci for his spells. His spells include:
  • Ofuda Strike: (Shooting) casting the ofuda into the air, Kanetsugu coats them in mana to make them serve as blades. He then launches them at his enemies. Range: 2-3 metres.
  • Circular Protection: (Shield) casting the ofuda before him and causing them to spin in a circle, Kanetsugu creates a disk of magical energy, used to deflect attacks. Range: N/A.
  • Thunder Sword: (Magic-enhanced Attack) concentrating mana on Evil's Bane's blade, Kanetsugu slashes at his opponents. Range: Melee.
  • Circular Charge: (Area-of-Effect): Casting his ofuda into the air (there's a pattern here...), causing them to spin around him and get away from him at the same time, Kanetsugu first uses them as blades before launching a barrage of laser beam in all directions. Range: 20 metres.
  • Ofuda Bombardment: (Collection-type Bombardment): Causing his Ofuda to spin vertically before him and making a mystical sign, Kanetsugu creates a large magical disk; stabbing through its middle with Evil's Bane, he launches a powerful, giant magical laser forth. Range: 700 metres.
• Backstory: Originally a vassal of Uesugi Kenshin, Naoe Kanetsugu arrived at Mid-Childa shortly before the JS Accident because of a run-in with Koutarou Fuuma, who served under Orochi at that time. Since he landed practically next to Long Arch, Section Six's base, they took him in; in order to repay his debt of honour to them, he fought alongside them, modifying his spellcasting so it would somewhat comply with Mid-Childan standards as well as making his sword into a Device. At heart, however, he stayed the same honourable, loyal, caring man he was before.
