Cause this needs to get done, and a couple of people working on +10,000 wicks just won't cut it.
What needs to be done:
- Clean up every HONF page, removing first person, this troper, context-less examples, etc.
- After being cleaned, move the page to the Nightmare Fuel namespace. If it is locked, you can ask for it to be unlocked here. See How to Move a Page for more information.
- Remove all wicks to Nightmare Fuel, High Octane Nightmare Fuel, and Accidental Nightmare Fuel that do not appear on a YMMV page, a Nightmare Fuel page, or a trope description.
- Change correct High Octane Nightmare Fuel wicks to Nightmare Fuel.
Add finished pages to the sandbox page so we can keep track.

Added the wick list to the OP and set it to float.
With the exception of the Darth and Sugar Wiki tropes, all of the Western Animation namespace wicks are done.
I'll weigh in starting from tomorrow. Is anybody keeping track of the alphabet?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm just hitting anything that's not a YMMV page...did a few B's today.
Webcomic and Web Original namespaces done.
Fun fact: Just removed 25 different wicks to Nightmare Fuel on the VideoGame.Hell is That Noise page. I know its YMMV, but it doesn't need quite so many...

Ouch. I noticed earlier that the YMMV page for R-Type has a lot of wicks that need to be cleaned up...I'll take care of that one once the IP thread resolves, as there's pics that need to be culled as well.

Video Game namespacers are now fixed.
Way to go, everyone, the NF wick count is now under 10K.
Live-Action TV and Literature sections are now done.
Less than 9800 NF wicks, now.
Cleaned down to the B's.
Also, are we removing Nightmare Fuel wicks from Sugar/Darth Wiki pages? I have a feeling the answer is no (unless there's more than one per page), so I haven't been messing with the Awesome/Funny/etc. stuff.
I've been removing them from those pages.
Okey dokey. Unless the Powers That Be say otherwise then, I'll add those on to my current edits.
Cleaned down to the end of the Da section and now under 9500. Small victories...
IT'S UNDER 9000!!!
Ahem...I mean D's, E's, and O's are now finished.
8888 now!
Wendigo features "A potent source of Nightmare Fuel." in the description...superfluous?
Yes, I think so.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableOkay...
...So...
Let's say I want to find out about surprisingly disturbing things from children's television in general. You know, what "accidental nightmare fuel" originally was, just a huge list of strange and unexpected things that traumatized people when they were kids. Maybe I'd really like to discover some funny examples of unintentional horror I'd have never otherwise heard of, or maybe I'm doing some article research on the subject.
As a matter of fact, both of these are true for me as I type this, which is why I came back to the site for the first time in a while.
So, where the hell am I supposed to go now?
I want examples of nightmare fuel in live-action children's television, but now there's just the "Nightmare Fuel" page and all of its live-action examples are intentional horror like Tales from the Crypt. Can't there at least be a "live action children's television" section?
Seriously, the MAIN DRAW of T Vtropes to me, and I thought to most people, was discovering things you didn't already know about. Now it seems that if I wanted to uncover new examples of accidental nightmare fuel, I'd have to randomly click around shows and see if anyone added it in their YMMV section, which isn't helpful in the least.

bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.Nightmare Fuel covers all fearsome material now, whether it's scary for children or no.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBut it doesn't have what I'm now looking for, and previous versions of "accidental" or "old fashioned" nightmare fuel had it in droves. It's where I learned of insane, surreal and warped kid's stuff like Pompel og Pilt, Noseybonk, Pob and countless others. Hell, it was even the first I ever discovered the Moomins, which we don't really have in the U.S. at all.
All that stuff seems to be gone, or you have to wade through hours worth of just straight horror examples.
What I always considered one of the core sections and main draws of T Vtropes has been for all intents and purposes outright deleted.
What was wrong with the "accidental nightmare fuel" having examples on it? The title makes it fairly clear what it means.

bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.
I got about 50 pages in B done; Beautiful Void is next on the list.
