@1324 What would you say the ratio is compared to non-h scenes?
@Tomu
That is a fair point.
But I too am concerned about the fanservice talk that went on from pages 48-52. Before that I thought fanservice is not a direct criteria the way porn/pedo is, but it sounded like we're using "Is porn the point of it?" standard for fanservice too.
Now using Trivialis handle.Basically, if a work is NOTHING-like, literally nothing on a page, a piece of blank paper, then screw no such thing as notability, it doesn't count.
Fan-service doesn't count as something (except in the non-sexual thing, like blatant godzilla fanservice of HOLY FUCK THAT WAS AWESOME but whatever). Ergo, if after removing the fanservice, you're left with nothing, then the work gets cut.
That's the way I've been looking at it anyway.
at lest once a chapter one of the chapters is almost all h and one almost no h others in the middle.
It should be noted that one ending has Kurou turn down Nya because he prefers Al-Azif(Al being the loli necronomicon) thus saving the world or something.
I say that in accordance with this wikis new policy we use the all ages version and anime.

@Tomu
I'm pretty sure very few works, aside from literally a fanservice picture book, would qualify as that. There's still the issue of plot.
Going back to my Mahou Sensei Negima example. It has much fanservice and it's indeed intentional (not a "this exists in ordinary life" but actual "look at this" kind). Many of the fanservice works fall under this kind.

Now using Trivialis handle.Negima at its core is not about fanservice. It's about high octane anime magic battles. PEW PEW PEW! Lightning fist-OH SHIT IT WAS JUST A TRAP HOLY FUUUUUU-
The type of anime that we're concerned about for having "too much fanservice" on the other hand is ABOUT fanservice. And in particular, very little else.
I still wonder whether Manyuu Hikenchou falls into this category. Maybe I should flag it.
How do we flag things again?
Under the "tools" drop-down at the top left of the page.
Calling someone a pedant is an automatic Insult Backfire. Real pedants will be flattered. Now that we're talking about removing wicks, I feel like this might be relevant to bring up again:
What are we going to do about pages about reviewers who have reviewed the cut works? Are we going to have to cut all examples of them referencing these works in their reviews from their pages? The reviewer that comes to mind when I bring this up is The Cinema Snob, who has reviewed Caligula, A Serbian Film, and other porn titles. When he reviews the works, he does censor the explicit stuff.

♥ ♦ ♠ ♣One of the key points of that show/manga is showing the readers how depraved and sexist a society based solely around obsession with female breasts can be.
So, it's not solely Fanservice meant to titillate.

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)There are no shortage of people that label Negima as being nothing but fanservice. Most fans would disagree, but anyone looking to attack the page could probably find a few quotes from reviews making such a claim or select chapters and page images to convince one or more panel members to think it is worth reviewing. I see that someone has already voted to kill Strike Witches and that too is fanservice heavy but also has lots of battles and such.
Still, I would like to think that we are not seriously considering burning all our echhi fanservice work pages and will stick to deleting honest to goodness porn.

That's an interesting point. We don't want to index porn, but do we want to index porn indexes? XD
I think the cut vote for strike witches is pedo related.
But I am not a fan and have not seen it so I will withhold judgment.

So I flagged Manyuu Hikenchou.
So reading discussions in past pages, the impression I get is "no explicitness and no pandering." I know that's the standards for pedo, but come to think of it, that pretty much sums up porn as well.
So is that the case for fanservice as well? And what would it "pander"?

Now using Trivialis handle.Again, it comes down to substance outside of fanservice. Negima has substance even if you take away the fanservice. Some anime does not.
How do you watch the 5P poll?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I understand that; I mentioned Negima because it wasn't just about fanservice, despite it containing a lot. But that's the case for a large number of works, besides the obvious cases.
If no explicitness and no pandering is the pattern, I think we should consider adopting it.
Now using Trivialis handle. As far as I'm aware, there has been no Admin decree that fanservice-heavy shows are to be reviewed for cutting. So as long as it doesn't run afoul of the "porn" or "pedo pandering" guidelines we've already got, it's most likely safe.

I'd feel much more comfortable if we are judging whether or not something is porn then whether or not we think that a fanservice heavy work has "substance". The former is, if not clear cut, generally more so than the latter, which often as not is a subjective judgement about story telling. I mean, personally I have a hard time saying that the movie versions of Charlies Angels have anything I would call substance. However the shows clearly are not the sort of thing Eddie has in mind when he made the "No Porn" mandate.
At any rate, the content policies I've seen say "No Pure Porn" not "No fanservice without a good story to back it up".
Looks like we've got a troll. JesuOtaku, who is an Anime reviewer (who doesn't review hentai). Likely a retaliation against cutting Eiken which she reveiwed.
But how do you watch the poll?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Huh? When was this? I wasn't even aware that Jesu Otaku had an account.
♥ ♦ ♠ ♣As far as I know, we can't watchlist the 5P vote page.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. No, the Jesu Otaku article has been flagged.
It's more accurate to say that having an article on something is effectively a sign of not condemning it.
Because we don't put up articles that exist just to be condemned.
