Update:

A good bit of nudity in the first chapter. Also half-page panty shots, multiple up-skirt shots. Also a three-page on-panel masturbation scene. While genitals are not explicitly depicted, the girl is noticably aroused.

Update the second:

Chapter two is much the same as the first chapter multiple no-panty shots, the girl is noticably aroused for several pages, labia depicted in relief under panties (when they are worn). Also male protagonist accidentally rubs girl's genitals while she is going commando, resulting in exactly what you would think.

Verdict: Cutlist

Pro:

• No pedo-pandering

Con:

• Explicit on-panel masturbation
• Genitals depicted in relief under panties when they are worn
• No real semblance of a plot

Yeah, that's a lot of problematic content for so little actual material. It's an edge case, but one just over the line.

It runs in Monthly Young Champion Retsu, a Seinen magazine that focuses on bishoujo manga.

By the way, did you know the author of this and Chu-Bra! is a woman? I never really looked at her name Yumi.

Hm, interesting little factoid. I guess the ladies can be just as prurient as the fellas...

Something possibly more surprising is that the author and artist of Kodomo no Jikan is a woman. I remember reading that she once said that she partially based the manga off when she was a kid and has a crush on her teacher.

What's the score? Well it's got one angel vote. I don't think anyone's said anything about it or ever really mentioned it.

If you want to know demographics, it runs in Monthly Gangan Joker, definitely a Shounen magazine.

I watched a few randomly selected episodes of the Inu X Boku SS, and it was surprisingly light on fanservice. At least I expected more from the page image Komodin mentioned.

There didn't seem to be much in the way of porn or pedo-pandering in the episodes I watched.

The most racy thing about it was a shot in which the main character girl was shown disrobing, but the shot was framed in such a way that you couldn't really see anything.

It's not the worst page image we've had by a long shot, it's just that A.) the girl looks awfully young in that image and b.) the focus is squarely on her rear-end.

That set my spider-senses tingling, and made me expect that the series would be fairly fanservice heavy, but it didn't turn out that way from what I saw.

Eh, perhaps I'm just being a bit paranoid, but that page image looks like the characters in question are about to have sex. If the page is to stay, then the page image will have to be changed; it's making the work appear more prurient than it actually is.

I think you are allowed to write a disposition "Keep page, replace image in IP" but I am not the decision maker here.

The image is okay. It's somewhat suggestive, but to put it in IP terms, it's Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

... Hm. I think this P5 job is making me see prurient content everywhere now...

If it's just the image that's a problem, make a thread in Image Pickin', because otherwise, there's far bigger fish to fry.

...Besides, the look on the guy's face looks more like silent mockery then sleaziness to me.

Komodin, I think that all this page looking at stuff has made you more sensitive. I don't get they're about to have sex from the page image.

There's nothing objectionable in Inu X Boku SS, and while the female main character doesn't look it from the back, she's actually an adult, just a short one. She actually does have some chest and she's just another tiny Japanese woman. She's never shown unclothed. So what we have here is a work where the characters are adults, there is no sex, barely any fanservice and that's all in the form of cleavage on a large chested character, and it's aimed at teens. It's probably not something we need to be looking at.

Eh, I know how Komodin feels. Something something staring into the abyss and all that. But yeah, I agree with the assessment on the show that the others have given so far on this page.

It's understandable. It's only been a couple of days since we had to look at that godawful random getamono-disgusting...thing and other very strange things. A bit of sensitivity may ensue.
