Not really important, but the tabletop RPG and visual novel are both English (American I'm guessing?), not Japanese. Felt the need to point that out.
Well actually, 'Visual Novel' isn't a translation, it's still called that in Gratuitous English in Japan. Also not really important.

Well, it's called a "visual novel" and that's how I translate it in my personal lexicon. It's not my fault the creators must be weeaboos and chose to use an opaque translated Japanese term instead of calling it a "video game" like the rest of the country.

"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.I did mention it before, actually.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimWell, there is a slight difference. If it contains any explicit content, then it's likely that the mechanics or presentation will be altered if it's made here rather than in Japan.
I don't really care either way, though.
It's a different media Martello. At the very least a different genre of Video Game.
Anyway as I recall the original Bliss Stage was cut because it had the options for thirteen year olds to have sex. Are any of the characters in this game under 16?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.We don't know. It hasn't been finished.
Maybe we should hold of judgement of the game until it's complete.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Well, unless it breaks the rules now, it can't really be judged, can it.
Would it perhaps be a good idea to have a separate thread or page for works that have defenses or accusations laid at them so the information doesn't get buried? When new stuff comes up the old stuff seems to get pushed aside. After seeing Enzeru trying to make progress on Morenatsu and my own attempts to appeal stuff like My Girlfriend Is The President or attack things like Katahane it would be a shame to just keep bringing them up until they're addressed.
Obviously, the P5 is very busy so I wouldn't ask them to deal with what I want to see finished up right this second, but if the information is kept readily accessible it will make things easier for everyone when they do have time.
Morenatsu has a dedicated thread already. I'll start another for Katahane.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.A thread that has links in the OP to posts containing feedback on queued works would be very helpful. Alternatively if that's something that could be added to one of th existing O Ps, that would work too, though I'm not sure if the people writing the original posts have time to maintain that.

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! In regards to Bliss Stage Love Is Your Weapon , I remember seeing on their dev forums that the plan was to fade to black for sex scenes. I don't know if any of the characters on the younger end of the spectrum are included.
Of course, plans and things that actually make into the game can often differ greatly. Unless I missed something and consensual, off-screen sex between teenagers is what we're looking to cut now.
Well, that's one thing, but I just meant when people give long detailed explanations about something and the P5 is too busy discussing other things. Having that information chronicled somewhere easily accessible would both keep people from repeatedly bringing the matter up and having it somewhere close at hand when the P5 has time for it.
^^ Yeah, that kind of thing was what I was thinking of.
^ It would probably depend on presentation. If it's offscreen that would probably help, but without knowing the age of the characters that's not enough to be safe, I think.

But yeah, that's something that would be really helpful, but it would have to be done by someone who could dedicate a lot of time in tracking down relevant posts and maintaining the OP.

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Well, the thread could be started now to note future stuff and people could post in the thread links back to a detailed post addressing some work or another. That kind of thing. Nobody would have to crawl through every single page chronicling everything by themselves. A group effort rather than just sticking one single person with a ton of work.

Ah yeah, that's a good point.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Firstly, the very first line of our page on Bliss Stage says "Bliss Stage is a tabletop roleplaying game written by Ben Lehman and produced by TAO Games," while the Bliss Stage Love Is Your Weapon page says it's "by Ben Lehman's imprint, These Are Our Games." If there's anyone here who can't tell that someone named "Ben Lehman" is probably not Japanese, I consider that a bad sign.
Secondly, I googled the VN and found this post presumably written by the creator of the VN. Among other things, it says, "I'll note right here, and again, for the record: I show nothing on-screen. But it [sex] does matter, and they will TALK about it."
I would hope that we wouldn't cut works for non-explicit sex between teenagers, but that's all that's in Bliss Stage, and it was cut.
edit: I believe the youngest character is 13, she looks like this◊, and there is an option to have sex with her.

Now going by plain old "Silverfire".I believe the issue with Bliss Stage was that games mechanics encourage such behavior.
^^ Well, I'll wait for moderator word. I can't make threads in this subforum, after all.
@Silverfire - I don't know why you're still talking about this. If somebody chooses to call something a "visual novel" I'm going to automatically assume it's either Japanese or some otaku bullshit. Either way I'll use derisive terms instead of "visual novel."
Moving on - a game that requires players to be underage and where sex is a vital part of gameplay is, by definition, pedoshit.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler. Why use derisive terms when "visual novel" works fine though?
Is the game even complete?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Providing thar "underage" means "pre-teen", of course.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBecause I have to get some enjoyment out of this process besides that feeling you get when you pop a pimple or cut a wart out of your toe with a knife.

"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler. But I don't know how those feel.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Like getting rid of something bad, kind of a relief.
Anyway, apparently Visual Novels aren't all just awful Japanese porn games so nevermind my silly names for them. Posting in here while hungover is a bad idea. Carry on.

Bliss Stage Love Is Your Weapon, an unreleased Japanese cartoon visual novel video game, is up for review and has been for quite a while. I voted devilhead as soon as it came up because the original RPG was pedoshit. I don't see any reason not to give it two more devils and get it over with.
