The Place for Purging Porn and Pedo-Pandering (AKA P5 flag evaluations)

Yeah this doesn't sound like something we need, especially when the victims in this case would be ten or fifteen. And since it's a fanfic I really doubt how much literary merit was intended rather than titillation. Granted, I'll admit that I have a bias against fanfiction, but the premise along with that statement do not inspire confidence. Especially considering the characters involved are not even close to being rapists in personality. Character derailment in order to have incestuous rape is a bad starting point.

That it is. It also gets worse. Much, much worse. Seriously, when I say it's the mother of all tangled family trees, I mean it makes the spanish royal family look positively normal.

Let me put it this way: If you are friends with someone, there is a small chance that you will end up in carnal relationships with that person. If you are related to someone by blood, there is a large chance that you will end up having sex with that person.

Actually, the biggest rapist, and basically the driving force behind the plot, is an original character who has raped pretty much every female member of his family.

Arha hates fanfiction, so even if it's glorious, he still won't like it.

I wonder what he'd make of the Cthulhu mythos. A LOT of that is pretty much fan fiction, since Lovecraft didn't write it…

Okay, people, let's sidestep the whole "Arha hates fanworks" deal because, frankly, I don't give a shit about that. What I'm asking is, "Is this work pornography, and/or is it pedo-pandering?" My vote will depend entirely on the answers to that question.

Is it pornography and pedo-pandering? Not quite. It does contain lemons involving Negi (who's 10, 11 at most), however, and under the new rules, it should, indeed, be cut.

Continuing: Again with the gratuitous cleavage pans of an underage girl. If this keeps happening, we should torch the series.

Update: And now two boys are playing hackysack with one of the triplets' panties. There is way too much sexual humor with underaged girls for comfort.

One could call it paedobait, yes, but 13 year olds tend to be attracted to their peers, which means a 13 year old boy wouldn't find a grown woman as sexy as a girl his own age... Or something like it, right?

I recognize this is shonen, but even still, the sheer volume of sexual humor is pushing the borderline of what I deem appropriate. Maybe I just picked a bad episode too start my look at the series, and if so the next two I look at should indicate that.

Update: A lot more sexual humor, but a lot less that can be interpreted as pedobait. Still borderline. Maybe I picked a bad episode, but still not clean enough to convince me.

I don't really believe my bias comes into it that much considering my criticism applies to many professional authors as well. I don't believe most people would derail canon characterization to make a mother rape their underaged son unless they had some interest in incest and shotacon. Seems like a perfectly valid argument to me. Site policy no longer supports this.

I think it's OK for the author to have interest just as long as the incest and shotacon are kept sort of not explicit. Like "After that horrible night, Negi could never look his mother in the face again"

Yea, what I was trying to mean is that the author can be as horrible a pervert as ever just as long as he keeps the rating below NC-17.

Possibly. It's derailing the characters to do it that makes me think it likely that prurient interest was involved and is being invoked. However, I've said what I had to say and anyone who wishes to bring forth evidence than my assumptions are wrong may do so at any time.

Bias may not supposed to be given much credit but when yours is one of the only few viewpoints given then there's not much choice.

Ironically anyone looking for a good list of porns, TV Tropes has compiled a very extensive one right here, three devil heads for the porniest and two or more angel heads for stuff to not wast your time with.  Your welcome.

Still say it'd be nice if we could have 5 devil heads or 5 angels on some of these works. I understand that there's no function in voting against the majority, but it kind of seems like the voting process is just first come first serve.

Remainder of episode was more "WTF?" than sexual humor. Jeez, if I was principal of this school, I'd have the entire staff fired for incompetence, but that's neither here nor there. One more ep, verdict to follow.

Update: A rather obvious shot of an underaged butt in the opening of the first short. Also a skirt-flip, though viewed from behind so nothing is shown. Second short involves a blatant crotch shot, but that was of a grown woman so it really doesn't count.
