Personal opinion: No. The untranslated word is "silencer / muffler", or so the online dictionaries tell me.
And for what it's worth, off the top of my head when I remember looking at the entries for Symbolic Rape: most examples fell just short of explicit, and could use a trimming down in terms of detail.

I say they aren't salvageable. It's using possible (or not there at all) rape imagery with conflict scenes.

Yeah... I just ran into while fixing Death Note wicks before this issue exploded and was like -___-; . Anyway, not savable.

OK, so do we take a chainsaw to the examples, or do we outright put this to the sword?
We don't have to chainsaw. They are not on Freud Was Right. We're discussing if we need to salvage them and move them there.

ccoa: Thanks. Now that I look back at the examples... There's too much detail on most of the examples to be sanitary, but on the other hand, those details provide context. I suppose a compromise for now would be to use Beige Prose: Work Name, event in work, no details.
A digression: What worries me is that the same problems of subjective interpretation and balance of detail could also apply to the majority of the examples in Freud Was Right.

A thought: Should these be limited to examples which are either explicitly lampshaded and / or analysed in-universe, or supported by Word Of God and / or professional literary criticism? I don't know how practical that would be, to be honest, since the subjective examples range from "still open to contention" to "all but explicitly stated".

If we are to that, they need very heavy and dedicated curating. But an interesting point anyway. I just don't think all people are going to follow this.
