Oooh. I'd love that very much, and given Discotek's working relationship with Toonami, they can very well air Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust too. I get airing the Cowboy Bebop movie, but I'd rather have something truly horror or horror-adjacent. Blood: The Last Vampire would be a great choice depending on who currently has the rights, maybe the two Hellboy DTV's too. Hell's Angels would also be cool, but that's maybe a bit too long to share space with other movies.
Both good movies.
I never actually saw that one. ^_^;; I still have fond memories of Blood+, though. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.I agree that'd be a good way to make use of the Halloween theme, but the fact that Toonami has almost exclusively aired marathons on holidays after Month of Movies 2014 (which, to my knowledge, didn't pull in particularly good ratings, even accounting for lower ratings on average by virtue of it being a holiday) makes the prospect unlikely.
That and I don't know if the higher-ups would be willing to give TOM a makeover that'd only be dusted off, at most, once a year. No idea what Toonami's budget is like, but I imagine that would be written off as an superfluous expense.
But you never know. We did get various superhero flicks for both DC FanDome and Wonder Woman 1984 (though that's probably because CN is owned by Warner Bros.), and perhaps high enough demand would be what gets executives to humor the idea.
I know it might be inevitable, but do you all think toonami will go streaming only eventually?
Watch SymphogearIf they decide it's more convenient, then maybe.
Isn't that what Toonami Jetstream is?
Since Attack on Titan is apparently a repeat and I don't expect much commentary on it tonight, I'm going to say I'm surprised how no one has brought up that Gabi is basically just girl Eren.
Which isn't a defense or a condemnation of anything, it's just a pretty blatant point about the character that's a bit surprising hasn't been talked about more here.
TOONAMI, I HAVE RETURNED!
RIP Akira Toriyama, taken from us far too soon.Wait is that Cosmo Samurai thing done?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yes, for now...
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI knew that movies became a lot less common after Month of Movies 2014 didn't do too well but I think there were a lot of specific factors as to why that happened when Month of Movies 2013 did gangbusters.
In all fairness, they did eventually come back for things like April Fools 2018 (granted, that one's a special exemption) and I think if you promoted it just the right way and made it a TIE that spanned the month of October, you could get views. Especially if the movies could be licensed on the cheap (which is part of why I mentioned Vampire Hunter D and they could even get that ghost movie they aired as a Halloween special in 2005)
I think remaking "Night of the Vampire Robots" as a TIE where the final night is the movie night but the other three nights are regular programming would make sense.
Bonus points if they try to dust off the HBTV concept with music videos that are more or less officially licensed AMV's (since there are some programs Adult Swim/Warner already own in perpetuity and IIRC, they also have the rights to an extensive music library of well-known rock songs)
Lover of anime, video games, old-school Rock & Roll music, yaoi, horror, motorcycles, classic cars, trains, and historical fictionThe Loss of Family Guy will be interesting for sure, both for Adult Swim AND TBS. Also Titan time. Wait, is this a re-run?

Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness. No thanks to all those power outages in Texas, yes.
I like to keep my audience riveted. They've had to rerun this episode due to the power outages that affected Texas.
The studio that makes this shows dub is located in Texas.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."We really need to have more major businesses located/split up into more states.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.Toonami Jetstream was maybe a bit ahead of it's time, it's also not a thing anymore. Anything Toonami gets will end up on HBO Max, Funi or the other streaming networks. At best the block branding would just be a subsection on those sites.
I do wonder how things will shake out in the next year or two, will the streaming market bottom out from people getting fed up with needing 10+ subs, or will we lose presentation and continuity from TV for easy binge sets?
Currently playing/Watching: Urusei Yatsura, Pokemon Violet, Sonic FrontiersI think alot of streaming services will have to merge with others or die, the bigwigs wanted to chase the trend without understanding why Netflix and Hulu worked so well, which was all the shows in a handful of places, each Streaming service took more away without the sheer amount of original content Netflix and Hulu already made in the time it took them to make them. It feels like most businessmen/women nowadays don't know how to plan ahead anymore.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.I know she's supposed to be brainwashed and radicalized, but damn, Gabi's voice is grating.
Still feels like a low blow taking ut a beloved character just like that, and using a another character we've gotten used to.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefI believe that is the point.
It’s gotta be a brutal AF death.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He's right; that is a funny picture of him. XD
I like to keep my audience riveted."That boy is a firecracker, I tell ya h'what."
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.Quite the Slasher Smile you've got there, my dude.
You ever wonder what's going to happen when Family Guy leaves at the end of this year? Will Adult Swim finally open up weekday slots for anime (even if it's just reruns or back-end programs like Naruto) or expand Toonami again?
Also, I'm wondering when Halloween will be on a Saturday. 2020 was a missed opportunity but given all the shit that was happening that year, I can understand why they didn't have a special Halloween event.
If I were Demarco, I'd go all in for next Halloween and do a reimagining of "Night of the Vampire Robots" with Vampire Hunter D (that one's old enough you can probably license it on the cheap) plus the Cowboy Bebop movie (or Solid State Society since they already own the rights to Stand Alone Complex in perpetuity) and have special spooky Gothic-themed bumpers with TOM reminiscing about how he was a vampire hunter way back in the day.
Heck, I'd even have a special redesign for that event, a Tom 0.5 or something where he's more of a gothic cyborg than a traditional robot. He'd still have the shades and his face would be covered though.
