Hinata, I'm not sure you and Tenten will be able to save my already low interest in Naruto filler. Prove me wrong.

It's usually a red flag for me.

@ Beary: Yep. Good thing it's not a 1:1 ratio between in-universe time and out-of-universe time, otherwise Kurenai would be living through the world's most painful pregnancy due to the wait.

It depends, though for me it normally signals death flag and/or some kind degradation of the character. Sure some Blood Knight can be fun, but I starting to become wary of worse examples.

This episode has quite a bit of Hilarious in Hindsight.

Indeed this is looking like a massive death flag. The fact he actually pulled the whole "I am the strongest man alive and thus am suffering immense boredom from finding no worthy opponents" shtick gives heavy indication that he's gonna die taking out the King especially since he's an Old Master who always dies after the big fight.

As far as filler goes, I'm glad this one is focusing on actual character interactions. Wish more Pierrot filler could be like this.

@ Rynnec: Yeah, this actually isn't so bad, since it fleshes out the Konoha ninja (who actually do have the markings of True Companions due to growing up together, being the "rookies" during the Chunin Exams, and other later developments). Unfortunately, most of the filler is more along the lines of Naruto being on a boat. And That's Terrible.

As I recall Boruto made some of the filler canon or at least outright references and brings it back during the show.

Not sure what exactly but that's the scary thing, some of this shit may be brought back.

As absurd as it was, if Boruto somehow manages to canonize Lee's Seasick Fist, I'll take back everything I've ever said about this filler arc.

What side Orochimaru would be on, how long the war would last, and the "our generation is exceptional" comment. Though admittedly I wasn't fully paying attention.

Thoughts this week...

• Dragon Ball Super - Should've taken the button, Baba. Grand Zeno's not too bad when he's not, you know, occupied with destroying entire universes.
• My Hero Academia - I hope we eventually see Selkie trying to act cute in front of some kids.
• Megalo Box - So Joe was just getting scared? I thought taking that hit actually did some serious damage to his head, since he was getting pretty lightheaded after getting knocked down.
• Diamond is Unbreakable - Morioh is currently hiding something nefarious and deadly, and we need to root it out... but for now, have an episode of Josuke and Okuyasu being greedy Jerkasses.
• Hunter X Hunter - Finally, we get to the fight we left off from a few episodes back. The way the episode ended was also pretty hilarious.

This is one of the best episodes of the arc I think.

Goku prolly misspelled it in this case.
