Some might say he's rather generous in his interpretations, but it is true that things would likely be very different if Buu was there instead.

I don't really care for Masako's "What ifs..." anymore. They were fun when they put things into context (and the "Raditz arrives and everyone dies" was something I hadn't really thought about), but they're just spoken fanfiction.

Which is fine, but I generally don't care for fanfiction.

except wait would that mean you would have bits of zamasu in you

would infinite zamasu be more or less of a threat if all of the zamasus were carrots

...On the one hand, that'd be something to see, but I fully expect Zamasu to be immune due to lol! I'ma God bitch!

Toriyama would never allow it to be that easy I think...or maybe he would. Depends on his mood I guess.

Here's some movie merch that literally gives Kale the title of 'female Broly'.

Welp, that's that. Kale confirmed to be the knockoff.

I wish in-universe Broly would be the knockoff, because they met Kale first.

So by that logic if they met Frost first then would Frieza be a knockoff then?

The in-universe characters would probably only notice if this was the anime's continuity and Kale's "LSS" form happened to look almost identical to Broly. If this movie is in the manga's continuity they wouldn't actually have much reason to connect Broly (especially one with his "Rage Form" gimmick) to Kale.

Well. Except for the eyes.

Kale got bigger over time though, being more Broly-ish

Man, I wish the Broly movie built on the 'Demonic Saiyan' concept to explain Broly's forms. Instead of the whole Oozaru as a human thing, just have the restriction device prevent him from fully awakening which is inadvertently also keeping Broly alive. Then Chelyle's wish to save Broly at the end is what saves him from the whole self-destruction thing.

...Okay, this is why I hate Toyotaro!

That's hardly fair. She continues to bulk up to Broly size, I think it's a really cool detail.

She did get bigger but never to anywhere near Broly levels (she was usually around Kafla levels of bulk, until like the last few pages), nor did she have the same face as him.

Toyotaro's Kale is still approximately x1,000,000 more tolerable than Toei's Kale.

They don't, which makes the Oozaru thing seem totally out of place.

having checked, she doesn't go all the way, but she definitely gets much taller and buffer. Her anime design was just... badly portioned. So is original Broly to an extent.

It's cool that the manga had Kale with a bunch of potential in her base form, but yeah it pretty much gutted the Kale and Caulifla dynamic.

The Kale Caulifla dynamic in the anime was terrible so that's great!

I don't think Super Saiyan actually makes Kale taller in the manga. She's shorter than Goku when they clash, and her proportions don't seem to change (contrast, say, anime Jiren, who clearly gets much taller when he becomes Jiren Desnudo, which is apparent just from how small his head looks). She's just always next to really short people like Caulifla, Cabba, Ganos, Shantza, and Freeza. This is particularly apparent when Caulifla (about the same height as Cabba) walks over to pat her on the shoulder◊, with both on level ground; this wouldn't work if she was anime levels of tall for obvious reasons.◊

Yeah, until the het happens, I don't think it counts.

...The Murder Lesbian thing is funny to me in context of Broly.
