As a redirect, it's good. For the trope name, I don't like it. Highlander isn't omnipresent enough in pop culture, and has other meanings.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. What has Higlander to do with the meaning of the trope?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI suppose that's the only way King Edward could think of to deal with William Wallace, in Braveheart? Kind of an obscure reference, if you ask me.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! You can only kill a Highlander by chopping off his head.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerAFAIK, the immortal characters in Highlander are The Ageless and unkillable except by chopping off their heads. Doing so lets you steal one's immortality and power. Because otherwise how would 700-year-old badasses have an excuse to run around with swords instead of guns?

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Spark 9, I can't tell if you're Comically Missing the Point or actually thought it was a Braveheart reference, but either way your post made me laugh.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Wow, people in this thread are seriously lacking in geek street cred. ^_^

What would be the best way to fix the page?
I kind of like The Highlander Solution, too. It's clever, not just a reference.
