I think there's a difference, but Klutz the Surgeon seems Too Rare To Trope even if it has more than 3 examples. Wasn't there a TRS for Klutz the Surgeon very recently? What was decided there?
There are no heroes left in Man.Yes, it was recently renamed from Huntington The Chopper, or something like that.
Note how the first example on RJN is an example of KTS.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Yep, Klutz the Surgeon was renamed from Mulligan the Headsman. This thread has some more information about that rename.
As for these two tropes, I think the difference between Klutz the Surgeon and Real Joke Name is that the former is about names that are frightening in light of a character's line of work while the latter is about names that seem too silly to be real.

"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dDo you really think people are frightened by a doctor named "quack"? Because that's about two-thirds of the examples on KTS.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Yeah, that's it, even if the definition of RJN uses an example that it's actually other trope. There's a difference, but.. meh. I still think Klutz the Surgeon is Too Rare To Trope. Maybe a merge would give these tropes the oportunity to grow into a better trope.
True, I won't discuss that.

Methinks this trope could cover all instances of "character's name sounds unintentionally funny in context". This context may be profession, appearance, personality, etc.
I support a merge. There are not enough differences between the two tropes.
Do loafing!I agree with that.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! There is now a single proposition crowner with a merge option here. Feel free to tell me if you think it is premature.

We could probably also add a line to the description about how this can be Played for Laughs or Drama.
Calling crowner.
I didn't write any of that.We have a consensus to merge here. Was this done?
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.One more thing before this is closed: the Real Life section is full of Zero Context Examples. I'd link them to their respective Wikipedia pages where possible, but Weblinks Are Not Examples so it wouldn't be much of an improvement. Should we only keep examples where there's evidence of someone mistaking the name for a joke?
"Not much" of an improvement is still an improvement over nothing.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Are we done here?
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Guess so. Locking up.

Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
I've found that Real Joke Name is really the same as Klutz the Surgeon. Both are about people who have a funny name (such as a businessman called Mr.Moneygrabs) that may sound like a joke but turns out to be their real name.
I think this should be merged, there's little or no difference between the pages, and neither is very long either.
