It did at least confirm there (probably) will be a third game. 
And it's just a continuous stream of Gabe, saying everything that became a meme, with bright flashing letters, either "Worth the Weight?" Or something about "You remember those fat jokes delaying the game? You were right."
And then steam will explode from pure, unadulterated RAGE.
I like how people think that just because game's plot demands a sequel, it HAS to be on next few years or otherwise it will never come

Well, seeing as how the Combine's main force (a fraction of which was able to curb stomp all of Earth in seven hours) is poised to show up and do a little populace crushin', the Desperate Last Ditch Maneuver that was meant to prevent that has failed, and we still haven't found anything other than a Deus ex Machina that can stop Advisors from fatally brainf*cking anyone they feel like, I'd say that only Valve can save the HL-verse humans.

Entirely possible, that's pretty much the main thing I remember from Ep2's ending as well, but IIRC, the rocket went off course thanks toHedy's attachment to the nosecone. But I can't be bothered to reinstall Ep2 and get past the strider attack again to rewatch the ending and check :p

I think the main writing issue is how they're going to do a helicopter ride to the Arctic Circle in real-time. Presumably the Bag of Spilling like at the start of the other episodes will be achieved by the inevitable helicopter crash.
