She was sure she'd seen a cloak do something like that before, and even if she couldn't remember the details, it still made her feel rather wary. "As long as Valvatorez does not show any reason to distrust him, then I shall look past such things."

"Now, are we going to search for this tower or not? I for one would rather like my memories back, and since it is the only clue we have so far I shall head off there with or without any of you."

"Wonderful! It seems my guess was right." Valvatorez happily exclaimed as he saw the girl disperse into a swarm of bats and reappear somewhere else. "Magnificently done, Lass. Though you might want to relearn that particular ability so as to lose the side effects. Practice does make perfect after all."

"And I promise shall not betray you, Saber. Such a thing would be unbefitting and uunsportsmanlike." He said,a certain degree of conviction evident in his tone denoting his type of personality. He then frowned as he savored the word promise, the single exclamation resounding in his head. Promises are never to be broken nor forgotten... Filing that thought away, he then glanced back at Saber.

"In any case, yes. Let us find that rather suspect structure together." The vampire took his spot at Saber's right hand, indicating that she led the way.

Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.

Upon seeing Flandre's teleportation via transformation into a flock of bats, the Joker's rage silently flared up again........to the observant, his eye actually twitched.....

The clown then walked right up to Saber. "Actually searching for that tower looks a little too much like actual work....." he said, pondering a bit. "Oh why not! Sounds like fun to me! Like we got anything better to do. LEAD ON, FEARLESS LEADER!!" Joker proclaimed, dramatically pointing his finger into the air. If anyone would noticed, the Harlequin of Hate had taken his spot next to Saber by her left hand.....

The Crypt Lord seemed to be in a reverie. Fiddlesticks stood still, waiting for some form of response.

-Shaking off the sensation of emptiness but blessed and feared, the Nerubian turns to the questioner.-

... Very well. The sooner these visions cease the better. What manner of creature are you?

"I know not whom our esteemed companion is, any more than you do your own name. He has not chosen to enlighten me with his title. Perhaps he too has forgotten it - that is why we seek to find our memories on this path."

Sauron then turned to the side for a moment, his hidden brow creased in thought. How could he use this to his advantage?

He had seen a vision. A towering black fortress, its sides smooth and covered with red light. A barren landscape. Darkness. Light. Mystery.

If that was where they were headed, then his Master (whoever he was) would be very pleased with him indeed. He knew nothing much about his liege, but did not all Lords seek new lands to conquer?

That was that, then. He would acquire subordinates *

, and he would subjugate new worlds in the name of the Dark Lord whom he served. All he needed now was his memories.

Letting none of these thoughts of conquest show on his face, the Maia turned back to the Lich, once again assuming that aura of polite, genuine courtesy. "Come with me, friend."

With that, he turned and continued to glide along the barren path in that strange, mysterious gait.

Flandre looked around, her wings making odd wind-chime like noises as she revolved, and ultimately came to the conclusion that there was nothing tower-like in any direction or at least nothing that looked like a tower from this distance. So... did that mean that they should just head in a random direction and hope that it was there?

"Maybe it's that way," the vampire said, pointing north-north-west, her features betraying her evident lack of conviction that this was, in fact, the case.

The three magical girls had quietly slipped away during all the discussion. While they had agreed to work with the pale girl (who had now been named Saber it seemed), Stern still didn't completely trust anyone (aside from her fellows).

Stern didn't know why she trusted the other two, but she did,

It was the same for them as well.

Dearche shook her head,

“I hate not having memories.” Levi nodded,

“Yeah...it sucks.”

Stern looked back and forth,

“Apparently we need to find a tower. Let's split up and get higher.”

The three magical girls flew up through the air, aiming to get much higher. But they couldn't see much.

The Lich shrugged and followed Sauron. He, too, has received the vision, and figured that gaining his memories back, whatever and wherever they were, was his prime objective for now. Dealing with Gorthaur and his silent companion could wait.

"WOO-HOO, flying lolis!" the Joker exclaimed after seeing the three device users fly overhead. "Wish I had a camera is take a picture of the panty shots! Wonder if they're going into the Danger Zone?"

I swear, one day I shall kill that clown, Saber thought, her hand unconsciously gripping tighter to her sword.

"Let us make haste, then," she said, her pace quickening as she headed off towards the horizon. "Even if our memories do not await us at the tower, I have a feeling that the answers to our other questions do!"

"HALLUCINATIONS!? WOAH! AND MEMORIES!? TO HELL WITH THAT, WE'LL SURGE ON FORWARD... TO FIND OUT WHAT PLACE ARE WE ON!? WOW, THIS IS A BAD DAY FOR THE VICE PRESIDENT!"

The vice president's ramblings are maniacal at best as he traveled to the East, with only a few people to join up with him.

Shutdown sequence initiated.

As the group wandered towards the tower, unconsciously guided by the images in their minds like filings to a magnet, the landscape remained monotonously drab and oppressive. The poisoned streams and dead trees were far from an impressive sight to see. As the groups gradually met up with one another, the Andalite-Controller pondered the groups. Something... something didn't seem right about this. Why had this disparate group of individuals been brought here, to this wasteland, and what secrets did this tower hold for them? Again, even as his multiple eyes swivelled rapidly, he felt keenly aware of the fact that there wer forces here, far beyond his power- perhaps farther beyond any of the powers that the group had.

Up ahead, though, the beaten, crumbling road that the group was following apruptly gave way to a chasm. Crossing it was a suspension bridge, swaying in the breeze. At least it was what remained of a bridge, anyways- it was difficult to tell from this vantage point whether or not the bridge was stable. Nevertheless, it appeared to be the only way to cross the yawning canyon that impeded their progress. Something else attracted the attention of the Andalite, though- tire tracks, smeared onto the road- they couldn't be more than a few days or even a few hours old. Not far away were footprints, ranging from small to enormous.

Something had come through this way before...

Flandre remained oblivious to the hints that something had come this way before, flying along and looking alternately bored or confused as she tried to piece things together, such as why the teddy bear was so important that no-one else was to be allowed to hold it. She wasn't even that aware of changing direction, though the vampire girl's ability to maintain a straight heading was rather poor anyway.

The Master looks around. "Vehicles and foot prints... there's still a society living here. But how? We've seen nothing sustainable for life so far."

"Remnents of a dead society, perhaps?" Saber mused aloud, getting down on one knee to check the tracks herself. "Although they seem far too recent for that... Hmmm."

She got to her feet once more, her sword gripped firmly in her hand. "I feel it would be best if we stayed on guard. Whatever layed these tracks may still be close by, and I doubt they would be too happy about us trespassing in their territory."

"Talk about poster covers for Better House and Gardens," the Joker snarked sarcastically as he observed the ruined landscape. Soon his group met all the other groups as everyone converged at the entrance to a large suspension bridge. "Well what a co-winky dink! All the people who decided they were to cool to go North are all with us!" he said. "Sounds like someone really wants the gang altogether for dinner......"

At Saber's thoughts: "I hope were trespassing on someone else's turf!" the Joker said. "That way I can practice some routines on whoever's toes we're stepping on. Might even jog my memory......" he said. Some would note the clown was a bit too anxious to get into a fight with hostiles.....

"It seems all the paths lead to the same place... Weird..." The man said.

"It's possibly the remains of a war. We best be wary in case survivors are around and think we're the enemy." The man said.

"I believe we can deal with anything that comes our way," The Emperor announced his presence to the rest of the group. "But that bridge doesn't look trustworthy. T'would be a shame were the fliers and I to be the only ones who went across."

Dragovich began muttering under his breath.
"Eti lyudi nakhodyat·sya blizhe k bezumiyu, chem Mason. Mason s uma? Za mostom i k bashne, to."
He continued over the bridge, AKM shouldered.

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!

"..." Valvatorez looked at the bridge with what appeared to be skepticism, his pale face showing off a rather disbelieving look. "That... has got be the worst bottleneck ever. I suggest we either send forward scouts that don't need to use the bridge themselves so as to not break the structure for the others, or simply transport those who cannot fly. Or throw people across."

"Yes, yes," The dictator smiled at the destruction, as he followed the others. "I had been itching for a fight, and it looks that I might get my wish."

M. Bison then stretched his muscles, getting himself ready for the fight to come. He always enjoyed fighting, or he thinks he enjoys fighting. He still lacked his memories, but he feels a desire for battle.

Wizard Needs Food Badly

The scarecrow grinned, an inhumanly gaping grin.

"Visions, master? It must be coincidence that I suffer from exactly the same plight." Fiddlesticks examined their surroundings once more, looking to see if there was anybody left, who had not already wandered off in some direction. "I do not know what it would be accurate to call me." He mulled over it for a moment. "Come to think of it, I'm not even sure if I can be called a being." A cackle. "If I could think of the name, I would gladly give it to you, but many things seem to be escaping me at the moment, master."

As the Joker observed some of the others, one of them became of particular note to the clown. The Emperor gave off an obvious air of arrogance to him, a superiority complex that just came off him like the stink off an unwashed pig but was capable of scheming and manipulation almost as good as his own......he thought. The point was that the Emperor remind the supervillain of someone.....someone with far more armor and a lot less hair.......

The other one was Bison. This guy the Joker could perceive had an ego that was probably far beyond the Emperor's, a man who's hubris was probably warranted at some point but was now merely overinflated. For some reason the Ace of Knaves just wanted to break the man down utterly just to see how far the humiliation would go.......and it would be simply glorious........admired the dude's willingness to bust skulls though.

However, Valvatorez's simply wonderful suggestion interrupted his thoughts. "Throw people across?! Simply BRILLIANT!! Who do I get to chuck first?!" he asked enthusiastically, actually taking the vampire's idea seriously.

Stern hovered above the footprints.

“If these were as ancient as these ruins, these tracks would have been eroded away by the wind and rain. No, these are recent.”

The three girls flew across the gap without stopping.

“We will keep a watch. Figure a way across.”
