I think it communicates "I don't like you" very well. Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanI dunno, for a live-action picture it really conveys the trope's feel well IMO. In favour of keeping.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeHmm. The current image doesn't look 'deathy' enough for a Death Glare to me.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.How so?
Unlike most of the examples listed, this one doesn't really show the anger or annoyance that trigger this reaction.
The image isn't bad, its weak. A better image would probably have aspects less subtle, almost exaggerated.

It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think!I've always thought this one was kinda weak. If I (or someone else) can find a good pic of Gibbs from NCIS doing one of his, that would be great.
I'll say Keep Until Better Image Suggested. It gets the basic idea across well enough that there's no reason to pull it, but there are probably better pics out there.
Reaction Image RepositoryThere is this◊ picture of Obama giving someone the glare.
My google-fu hasn't really found any good pictures of Gibbs from NCIS giving the glare, or even of him angry.
It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think! He looks more disgusted (in an "eeew" way, not a "you sicken me" way - the latter might actually work for the trope) then anything else there, to be honest.
Okay then, so I'll throw in a suggestion. Maybe a side-by-side comparison of those two pics from the Dating Sim Tokimeki Memorial 2? One where Akane Ichimonji is happy towards you, and one where she does her Death Glare at you when angry:

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeI am fine with the current one....
The only thing I can think of to improve it is if there is a reaction in the scene by another person. (In a "you are scaring me here" type way.)
or just a blatant SD one.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Haruhi one looks more like "I'm staring into your soul" than an angry look, and Kusano Kouichi one looks more like she's bored.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeBored? with that look?
(I was going to say this from the persona 4 anime but the actual reaction shot came out like crap◊.)
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!
Ace's suggestion seems closest to the trope, and even then it's not as effective as I'd like it to be.
I hate that this one◊ is so grainy, but the eyes, IMO, nail what this trope needs to convey.

The latter looks a lot better at wick size:
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - Camacan
That's good!
That's also good, and funny.
It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think! This pic◊ from funnyjunk?
"We are not a stuffy encyclopedic wiki. We're a buttload more informal".
It took me a bit to realize what was going on in that one. Its nice, but I won't say its as good as one in post 16.
It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think!Looks sinister, not quite right for this trope. The Mario one would be good for Image Links.
The pic is from a British TV series called Number 10; it's Jeremy Brett playing William Pitt the Younger.

I like the William Pitt one as well.
How about this one?

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
I have no idea how good of an example this is, but it's weak on the whole "I am going to kill you for whatever reason aspect of the trope." The character does look mildly creepy, but he does lack the obvious anger or annoyance that most of the examples have.
I would even go out on a limb to say he looks "questioning" more than anything else.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement?
