Wait - weren't we thinking up new names for the old definition? No? Then I'm suggesting it preemptively. I don't think WDYMIFK is bad enough to warrant changing now that we're agreeing to use the name for What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?'s opposite.

Opposite in what way? It is opposite in the sense that WDYMIFK is about works that are, well, for kids, while WDYMINFK is about works that are not, as the titles would indicate. They cannot be opposites in every way. I'm not quite sure what you're saying here.

[up]I mean that What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids? is fine for "kids' show that doesn't look it".

[up]Yes. We need to fix the entire index, but no one seems interested in doing that.

[up] What do you mean?

[up]I mean that the entirety of What Do You Mean, It's Not an Index? is broken, but all attempts to try and fix it as a whole seem to peter out. Look at the relative inactivity of just this thread alone, for instance.

It's just so difficult for me to think of better names.

We can talk about renaming once we've finished the split. I've created an alt titles crowner for the new name for the original trope here.

[up] That crowner serves no purpose. Take another look at the page action crowner hooked to this thread. We are going scrap the old definition entirely, not split the audience reaction into two definitions.

[up][up][up][up][up]We've started, haven't we? And doing them individually is slower but better than together. We're less likely to settle on a new snowclone and more likely to just rename them all and cut the index.

Would it still be YMMV after the redefine?

[up] I would think so. Whether or not something is appropriate for children is subjective by its very nature.

Bumping again; this thread seems to keep slipping behind.

What Do You Mean, It's for Kids? and What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids? are continually being muddled up in my mind. I heartily support a renaming, possibly for both. Dubious Kids Show works for me. xD

Yeah, that's nearly as ambiguous.

So, how should we implement this course of action? And should we start another crowner to decide if we're gonna rename this?
