I don't know about anyone else, but where I come from the name "Thatcher" is pretty much synonymous with the Devil.

For what it's worth.

And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)

I like Mc Donald, if only for the Statute of Westminster.

In the spirit of fairness I give Thatcher credit for The Falklands War.

Everything else? Terrible.

But the Falklands War wasnt won by her. Any PM would have respond with guns, it was an invasion.

The Falklands War.

Reason I know of it: the most made-of-win American news headline ever.

The Falklands War could have been avoided. She just let things esculate to cause a which boosted her popularity. That's pretty much the worst thing she did in my opinion.

Umm, I don't think a war is avoidable when Argentina just invades your territory. It was a good war, however, because the casualties were light, and it lead to the end of the military rule in Argentina.

And Gladstone. There's always the infamous "Introduce me to Gladstone!" from Jam...

More seriously, Clement Attlee's got to be a strong 20th century contender.
