"Let me check." Ivin said, rather confused about Rachel's apparent embarrassment, flagging down a maid.

"If you would like, the field can be converted into a golf course, just check in at the equipment hut for free rental clubs, etc." the maid said.

"Cool. Rachel - if you'd like, we could go play some? I need to improve my backhand swing anyways..." Ivin said, motioning with his arms like a golf swing.

Then, noticing Christine arriving at the table, he said, "Hi there! I'm doing fine, thank you. I'm Ivin, an ambassador of the Vencaran National Collective. Nice to meet you."

Christine gave a friendly wave towards Ivin.

"Hi, I'm Christine. I didn't understand most of what you said there, but I GUESS you were explaining your job. I'm... well, I'm not really employed... at least not in anything normal..."

"Well, we were thinking about maybe playing some golf, if you'd like to come along? And yes, ambassadoring is one of my jobs." Ivin said, "But what do you do, if you don't mind me asking?"

Amaya slumped in her chair in a state approaching shock. Did most mudanes view mages as evil? Could that have been what happened to her mother? If she was killed by a mage hunter, how would she know where to look?

She shook her head, dispelling those thoughts. This changed nothing. All she had to do was get to Litus and investigate the Citadel. There would be clues there.

Her stomach growled, pulling her out of her thoughts. She waved a maid over and ordered a stack of pancakes and a tall glass of milk before returning her focus to the conversations at hand.

"An adventurer? That's so cool!" Ivin said, "What kinds of things are you doing - like slaying monsters, collecting jewel stones, or wrestling crocodiles?"

"Well... you got two out of three right... kind of. We're still working on the crocodiles."

Christine let out a giggle as she continued;

"And we never fight REAL monsters, but some of the guys we've met... you could call them that."

Christine let out a shudder as she recalled many of they're past encounters with immortals and other psychopaths, some more recent than she would have preferred.

Asariel decided that he'd had enough vacation for one millenium, and promptly teleported himself out.

Ryan woke up and stared at the ceiling. He thought about everything that had happened to him over the past few days and smiled. He'd really come a long way - he hadn't felt this good since he went on the run. Smiling, he got up, left his room, walked down the hall, and out of the resort.

Remus kicks into high gear on Monday, and I think Ryan's done here anyway. I need to build up Asariel more before I bring him back. That's it for now, bye!

Rachel said, "oh, the field out there will work? That sounds perfect. But, uh, like I said... I'm pretty bad." But at least it would be more fun than listening to Asayu be Asayu. Rachel really did consider Asayu a good friend, but... well, it was one of those friendships. To one of the maids, she said, "go, uh, do whatever it is you have to do so we can use those fields." She wasn't sure what that entailed, whether it was planting flags or twisting the very fabric of time and space making up the fields into Alien Geometries usually associated with Unreason.

[Bar —> Lobby]

Asayu followed Virgil, warily, into the lobby. Anywhere else, and she'd have never dreamed of following a man like him anywhere private unless she was intending to kill him. But she had to ask him one question. "You seemed very eager to get away from that woman there. Ex-girlfriend? Current wife? Arch-nemesis? Landlord? What's the story there?"

Virgil gave a laugh at Asayu's guesses.

"None of the above... except maybe the Arch Nemesis one, to an extent. To summarise my history with that woman: I've beaten her within an inch of her life... on more than one occasion, and she, along with all her friends who I also horribly brutalised, have tried to kill me in the past. I'd say under those circumstances, we'd be about even, but I'm trying to avoid the girl at the risk of traumatising her. This is a resort, and I had hoped to relax here and not have any of my business in my home universe get dragged here... but there you have it. So I'm going to have to stay away from the bar for a while, and since you're out here, you've just volunteered to keep me company."

"Sorry they're not real monsters. I mean, unless you don't like monsters, but then, who does? Ah, you see what I mean?" Ivin said to Christine.

"The field is ready whenever you are." a maid said to Rachel.

"But anyways, shall we go, then?" Ivin said, upon hearing that the golf course was ready.

[Field / Equipment Rental Hut]

Upon getting a message from one of the maids in the bar, Brian pulled a lever in the equipment hut, as the field sunk underground, and was replaced by a sprawling, landscaped 18-hole golf course, complete with sand traps, ponds, and trees dotting the area.

The golf course should appear to extend a ways further that the field does on the map, due to its large size.

Christine didn't see what the guy meant... at all, but she nodded politely and smiled, getting up to head to this golf course.

"I hope you aren't hitting on me or something, because my fiance could probably kick your ass! Sorry, I just always wanted to say that."

[Bar]

"Oh, no. I was mostly planning on hitting the ball." Ivin said, standing up, getting ready to go to the golf course, "Although, it is always good if you get to say something you really wanted to."

Yeah, it's in character. Christine is a bit of a cloudcookoolander.

"Yeah I guess your right about that. Maybe Charlie felt this happy when he finally managed to propose..."

Christine thought for a moment, then shook her head.

"Actually, probably not, considering the circumstances it was under... he thought we were going to die, you see."

[up] Sounds good. Just checking (again). Ivin (and really the whole Vencaran species) are a bit Cloud Cuckoolander-like as well.

"Yeah, that really ruins the mood, doesn't it." Ivin said, "But hey, you both made it out, right?"

[Rooms]

"Auuuuugh!" yelled Xavier as soon as he woke up. "My head!" He pushed himself to his feet and clutched his head in his hands. It was throbbing painfully, colors were bleeding into each other, and he felt like the room was slowly tilting; he had had hangovers before, but nothing on this scale. He managed to pull his thoughts together enough to remember some of Vincent's hangover cures: water and bacon sandwiches.

He staggered to the door and crashed into Vincent in the hallway, who had just left his room. "Morning, Xavier," said Vincent. "What're y-"

"Bacon!" yelled Xavier, as if that explained everything, and lurched down the hall.

"Ah," said Vincent. To him, it did explain everything. He helped Xavier down to the dining hall and ordered him a tall glass of water and several bacon sandwiches.

Kat didn't say anything, but continued filming the populace as they went about their business.

"Hm, I thought humans could test for that? How would you not know whether you were or not?" Ivin said to Christine.

[Outside]

A soft cooing sound was heard as a single pigeon landed on top of the beach bar hut.

That's odd... Brian thought, organizing the glasses.

Another sound was heard as a few more pigeons landed on the hut.

''That can't be good." he thought, leaning outside slightly to look up and around.

A few more pigeons began landing on the top of the beach umbrellas, the railings on the pier, and the fences surrounding the pool and resort. Pigeons continued to land on the equipment hut, the tennis court fences, the trees in the golf course and forest, and especially the Resort roof, until it was nearly covered with them.

Brian, seeing this commotion, picked up a small phone, and said, "Kevin, we have a problem."

The pigeons are around, but aren't interacting or causing any trouble unless attacked/interfered with. They're effectively part of the scenery.

A few minutes later, a minibus drove in from the road, and parked in the lot by the forest.

Two young men slip into the lobby from the interdimensional door. One is wearing a long brown coat and a school uniform, sweater vest and all. As he adjusts his glasses and sweeps his light brown hair from his face, his frightfully skinny companion observes the lobby with wide brown eyes. He has dark brown hair and wears a chain mail tunic.

"Let me guess," William says flatly, checking one of his coat's many pockets for a cigarette. "Another interdimensional cantina."

"This doesn't look like the other cantina at all," Cyrus says.

"But it's another interdimensional... thingy, right?"

"Seems like it."

"And there's a bar. Right there. In front of us."

"Yeah."

"And Bianca is on the other side of Fleigen."

Cyrus looks mortified. "William—"

"What are you going to do? Tell on me?"

"No, but—"

William charges into the bar and climbs onto a table. "DRINKING CONTEST! BRING OUT THE WHISKEY!"

Cyrus whimpers, but follows him. Hopefully, he'll be able to minimize the damage.

The last battle's curtains will open on stage!

"Well," explained Christine, "I had a feeling I was pregnant, but I'm not actually going to test it until I tell Charlie, so we can both find out together... though I don't know if Charlie will like the idea of me being pregnant. He'll likely have a panic attack."

Christine giggled like a child at the thought.

Rooms

Both eyelids were still tightly closed, and there were no strong smells in the air, but Qrlil nonetheless felt consciousness slowly return.

She groaned inwardly and curled up tighter. I am on vacation. I don't have to get up if I don't want to.

Sleep did not appear to be returning anytime soon, though. With a long hiss of expelled breath, she slowly sat up and blinked. She took a moment to brush a few scales off her robes, and thought for a moment. I don't think I really want to do that again. With another sigh, she brushed her fingers over her sleeve. Her robe's opaqueness increased again to its normal level, and the fabric loosened slightly.

Qrlil stood up and walked unhurriedly to the door. Activity was the only way she would become involved in the day; it would be wrong to start ignoring proper discipline just because she was where she was. She slid open the door and stepped out into the hallways, blinking again, and sniffed to see if anyone else was around. Apparently not: she walked over to the portal/door and stepped through into the dining hall.

The girls are back - collect meet all 5*! (7?)

* Only a couple will be active at a time. Also, if you're wondering, the mini-bus is theirs.

The interdimensional door burst open, as two college-age girls walked into the Resort.

The first, Kurako, was a little short, wearing shorts, and a shirt with an equation: S = k_B ln Ω. She had bright red short hair, messy and chaotic, and carried an oversized butterfly net over her shoulder. She said, "Heard you have a bit of a pigeon problem here."

The second, Shiko, had moderately long, pitch black hair, cut formally, and somewhat of a pale complexion. She wore a white kimono-like dress, with black lining. She rolled her eyes at what Kurako was saying, and followed along behind her.

"We're with the 'Pigeon Extermination and Total Annihilation' squad, or PETA for short." Kurako said, walking authoritatively around the room, "So just show us where they are, and we'll get to work."

"Yes, thank you for coming," Miki (greeting maid) said, "they're all over the grounds."

"I see." Kurako said, marching into the bar, to the window, and looking out over the beach. "That's ... a lot of pigeons. Okay! No time to waste, c'mon Shiko, let's hunt!" She raised the net over her head in a battle cry.

They're available for interaction temporarily if anyone's interested, otherwise they'll go hunt pigeons around in different areas, and I'll rotate in some of the others.

Lilith woke up hugging a pillow. She moved upward and put her hand to her chin, "Normally I wake up first, but this is odd." She simply shrugged it off and let the bats that made up her clothing reform around her and soon walked back toward the bar. She went toward the bar and ordered, "I'll have an omelette, with peppers, mushrooms, sausage, and some cheddar as well."

She noticed Asayu a couple seats away and quickly turned into a set of feathers and flew toward her. Lilith reformed behind her and whispered in her ear, "I hope you enjoyed last night, cause I did," quickly switching back and flying toward her seat once more. Lilith then proceded to dig in to her omelette.

Dante sat vertically from the bed and rubbed her eyes, clearing them of rheum eye gunk. Dante walked to the portal that lead to bar and sat down, "Give me some OJ and a croissant." Once she got it she slowly and grudgingly ate, making a sour face throughout.

The doors to the resort flung open as a new figure walked in. It was a she, she was about five feet tall, and had tan skin, white hair tied into a ponytail, and golden eyes. She wore tie-dyed tank top, a pair of white shorts, and several sets of gold rings were around her arms. She was bouncy and seemed very excited as she hopped to the breakfast bar, "Milk please!"

The glorious beauty of electricity is back on! I will never take it for granted ever again! Also, this is Bast in a human form, it might be weird(er?) for her to be in her other form

[Lobby]

Asayu, after giving Lilith a smile and a nod, returned her attention to Virgil. She shook her head and said, sarcastically, "great." She wondered what he meant by "brutalized," but really didn't like the potential implications. Then again, the way he was avoiding her suggested they were more like soldiers on opposite sides of some conflict, so maybe not. Her voice turning serious, she asked, "what the hell is it you do with your life?"

[Bar —> Fields]

"Alright," Rachel said, "I think they should be done getting set up. I'll meet you guys there." With that she stood, said, "see you guys later," to the rest of the table, and took a walk to the equipment hut, noting the pigeons warily. With her luck — and curse — there might be problems. But she hoped the local security would deal with it before her suspicions were confirmed.

[Outdoors]

Kokabiel landed among the pigeons, scattering them, and tilted his head as he examined Shiko, curiously. There was something familiar about her, something he couldn't quite place. "Do I know you," he asked her. He doubted it. Maybe she was a being like himself and Asariel? Or maybe he was merely mistaken outright.
