Honestly with the one you get from that victory guy and a platinum numemon you shouldn't need much more than that. XP goes so fast, especially in the final area of chapter 19, every fight is 30 levels for a level 1 and like 3 levels for a level 80.

I don't have a single one. And doesn't he give Billionaire USB instead?
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Victory Uchida gives you all kinds of different shit depending on the chapter. He gives a Tactician USB in Chapter 19, a Millionaire USB in Chapter 11.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Well, I'm in chapter 15 at the moment. And what I've read of Bancholeomon scares me a little, so I'm gonna continue grinding for now. :/
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Someone already did an attack compilation for Cyber Sleuth.
Let me see if I can find it and not embed it because I can't figure that out...

Here we go.
It's the original Japanese version, so it's Vita quality and is missing a few that were added to our release.

Mastemon's Special Attack is ridiculously helpful against some of the meatier enemies.
She takes out a quarter of an enemy's health.
There are almost no exceptions.
She also learns Safety Guard, which is a plus.
Cyber Sleuth is getting 7 new mons in a worldwide update.
- Shine Greymon Burst Mode
- Mirage Gaogamon Burst Mode
- Rosemon Burst Mode
- Ravemon Burst Mode
- Valkyrimon
- Darkdramon
- Chaosmon

Was not expecting new content.
Neat.
So has anyone heard anything about Digimon World Next Order?
There are some videos of the game up, but they are way too long (they seem to be mostly from streams).
One Strip! One Strip!Once i got a Phoenixmon in Digimon World 1. I had no clue what i did and was never able to replicate it.
The Protomen enhanced my life.nect 0rder... Here's hoping Cyber Sleuth did well enough for that to get localised.
Honestly, I know almost nothing about that game.
Which I like.
One, of course, is to have a suitable Champion Digimon and then get its stats high enough for standard digivolution (Birdramon and Airdramon are easiest for this IIRC).
The other, and more frequent way that I've had happen to me, is to get a Birdramon, and if you're strong enough and kick enough ass and it's happy/disciplined enough and it lives long enough (really vague, I know, but can't be of much more help ATM >_>), then sometimes your Birdramon will randomly Digivolve into Airdramon. And then Airdramon will immediately Digivolve into Phoenixmon.
I'unno why it happens that way either. </shrug>
Incidentally, most of the time my first Ultimate digimon in a new DW 1 playthrough ends up being either Phoenixmon or Andromon, though it still usually takes a few 'mons to get there.

This is great to hear. There seem to be so few videos of Next order that I felt like I'd never get a good chance to see it, so knowing it'll be localized soon is cool. I'm guessing with the arrival of the Tri movies, they felt it made sense to bring it over.
One Strip! One Strip!Edit: Turns out that next order is not coming out for the PS Vita after all. Although the PS 4 is still getting a physical release as well:

While I enjoy Digimon Cyber Sleuth, I'm still trying to figure out the reason for the numbers with the plus sign next to them in parentheses. My Infermon's INT is as 108 and the number in the parentese is +13. I've leveled up for some time now and the number hasn't changed. No forums I've gone to have adequately explained just what that number is saying. And it's bugging me because I don't like how Venom Myotismon looks, and would rather get Beelzemon, but I need HP of 2000 and 250 attack(current ATK is 240 and HP is 1720)
(V)(;,,;)(V)Those numbers in parenthesis are extra stats you get from training in the digi-farm, or items you have equipped, and on the left are the full stats. Base stats would be the stats on the left minus the ones in parethesis.
Essencially every digimon has 50 extra stats you can add to hp, sp, atack, defence, inteligence and speed in any way you wish. you can get up to 50 of those stats by raising the ability to 100, and you get a bit more on one specific stat depending on the personality. These extra stats are useful because they make your digimon stronger, and are necessary to be able to get certain special digimon which have difficult digivolution requirements (demon lords, royal knights, etc.)
Ability is raised when you digivolve and de-digivolve the mon in question. To alocate the available extra stats, you have to put them in the digifarm and have them undergo a training course. You can also use items inside the digifarm but you can only purchase them late game.
To see a more detailed guide on how to raise the specific stat you want, the best guide is probably touya's

So gamereactor released an interview with the producer responsible for the localisation of digimon world:next order in europe.
Essentially he says that they're happy with the reception of the games in the west, they're looking forward to release more digimon games, and that the reason why next order will not be released on the vita is that they recognized the original release (even after many bug patches) had so many problems in the graphics, in the game balance, in the story etc. that trying to make the vita version match the reworked PS 4 version would be too dificult.
To summarize, for the ps4 release they're gonna:
Add 30 missions the the story campaign
Better FPS, resolution, shadows, textures etc.
More digimon to expand the roster (rumors have it at a dozen more, but it wasn't specified)
Add higher difficulty options and rebalance the game
Reminder that this is the same producer in charge of re:digitize decode, that turned out to be pretty good, so he knows what he is talking about. Still hurts for vita users though...

So I was just wondering for those who've played the Japanese version of Digimon World -next 0rder-...
Is there much difference between playing the game as Takuto and playing as Shiki?
Because against all odds, I've found some videos in english of the game (the entire game) but it's using Takuto (male main character) and I would rather watch it with Shiki (female main character).
I watched through two playthroughs of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, one in japanese and one in english with Ami (female main) so I kinda want to stick with that.
One Strip! One Strip!Digimon world next order is Launching January the 31st in north america.
The voice acting is not a pleasant surprise so far, but it's a step in the right direction.

7/10, I WANT
Cross posted from the game thread:
Finished the Let's Play of Digimon World -next 0rder- (Japanese audio and English translation).
I still don't know why this dude has it so early, but it was nice to see.
Himari reminds me a lot of Nokia, what with being energetic, seemingly not too bright (though less up front about it then Nokia), ridiculously dressed for her age, etc. The biggest difference is that the former seems a little braver then the latter prior to Nokia's Character Development.
Got bored some ways into the post game content (got as far as defeating Armageddmon and then returning to Dimension M to fight both him and Diaboromon again, so I haven't seen any of the stuff with Meicoomon or Rina. I was really in it for the story, which is pretty short when you leave out all the training, recruiting and grinding. Shoma was barely in it before his stepped out into the open as a villain.
Not bad all in all.
As I said, I'm utterly baffled at how this guy has an english version of the game already. I suppose it must be a fan translated version since we know the localization with also have an english language dub. Still, I'm glad I didn't need to wait for it.
One Strip! One Strip!Just a reminder that Digimon World -next 0rder- is out for PS 4. I've been hearing that it's really difficult to start, for a variety of reasons, but I've also heard that this version had its difficulty pumped up for some reason. Not sure how true that is (could just be people not quite getting the mechanics, possibly through no fault of their own; I recall the original game being rather vague at times), but some people recommend playing on Easy Mode (especially if you've never played the original World) to get used to things first (while also implying that the game's Easy Mode is actually Normal Mode, making Normal Mode coincide with Hard). You can also change difficulty anytime in game.
I'm downloading it nownote , but not sure I'll be posting my thoughts on it here (I still need to beat Cyber Sleuth anyway). Just wanted to let people know it's out now.

Helpful tip: Get a Sakuyamon. Bosses absolutely love to spam the shit out of buffs in the second half of the game. Sakuyamon's signature attack erases any buffs they get.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
