Anime/Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

It's pretty much just fanservice for those familiar with the work, so you can skip it if you're new to this show. Or you're a completionist of some sort.

It was a funny as hell Opposite Day dream followed by a taste of what the show is about... I think it would be best watched midway though the series when everyone has been introduced.

Yeah I like how pretty much every girl is a jerk. Although Sena and Yozora take the cake as the queen bitches.

I pretty much like what this show / setting is conveying :

If unlikeable people are so because they're unlikeable, then what does it take for them to like each other?

Was it just me or was someone stalking Kodaka there towards the end? Was it Yozora or someone else? Didn't really see. Someone was peeking out between the pillars.

I thought they made it completely blatant. Seemed like a new character to me, possibly a male student. I assumed they were actually stalking Sena and were interested in why she was talking to Kodaka.

Yeah someone was getting stalked will we find out next episode? I don't know! Yeah I do, but I won't tell you!

The anime seems to be going with a different ordering from the manga. I guess they want Sena acting more tsundereish to Kodoka sooner, and the Yozara thing? I don't know.

Ok so I have not played Monster Hunter, but can you kill your teammates?

I think so, though I haven't played Monster hunter either.

But this is gonna be licensing hell if anyone decides to dub the series, that's for sure.

Huh friendly fire makes that game seem a lot harder now. If I had a PSP I would totally buy it. And yes this show loves its shout outs and stuff.

So, the female lead of this show is bascially like Kuroneko meets Haruhi.

In fact, so far that might be my description of the show itself.

LOLZ, Monster Hunter ref this week. Also the trap is staking the MC.

Watched the new episode. I agree with this show being Ore Imo meets Haruhi. Considering that I loved both of those shows, I think I'm gonna love this one, too.

I dunno, so far it feels significantly "cheaper" than both in the quality of the writing. IE: Nothing wrong with the premise but the execution leaves something to be desired.

Well, I'm not really expecting it to hold up to Haruhi Suzumiya's level. It's pretty entertaining, I'll give it that.

I think the first episode held up to the standard of those two, but the second was too trite. It had too much absurdity, and cartoonish stupidity, compared to the original setup. For example, after reading through several routes of a galge, probably even Sagara Sousuke would realise that it is not really about friendship. A 15 year old talking to an "air friend" is cute. A 15 year old being completely oblivious to the idea that romance exists, is just absurd.

Also, the OP promised lots of fanservice, though at least it avoided that, so far.

The camera angles made me sigh quite a bit. Then again I'm not a fan of fanservice.

Pretty much from what I have read the whole series is more or less them doing random things and it not working because they are all socially retarded.

There are few more serious things that go on that bring about small amounts of character development but not much. At least as far as I am. I hear later on it gets more serious, but well the source was not exactly credible for that.

That's just ordinary Male Gaze that you could even see in an average western movie. But the OP looked like complete ecchi genre.

i think the work has a nice level on absurdity
while episode 2 is just over-the-top and disorienting with its angles
it pretty much sucked me in
i can suspend the disbelief that the two female characters are so antisocial they have no understanding of romance
i thought episode 1 was stale and feels too similar to haruhi, bakemonogatari
the setup was just too slow
and most of the time i was looking somewhere else other than the computer
the soundtrack in episode 1 was more distracting as well with all the silly moe tunes
so thats why i think episode 2 shouldnt have a bad rep as i see in this thread

There is no such thing as too "similar to Haruhi or Bakemonogatari."
