Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

I kind of want to see this…but not really...and yet….
That was great. It's just a montage of people showing up at the door. Some of them have people missing from their groups, for easily deducted reasons.

I just want to know what Ethan Hunt and Donatello are doing there?
One Strip! One Strip!I get the former. You can bet on TC jumping in the spotlight at the first opportunity.
I dunno, especially since the Ninja Turtles are in DC. Then again, Marvel and DC share a continuity in HISHE. Real sad how all of Donatello's brothers died in the Snap, though.
The gag about the Fantastic Four mysteriously missing the Human Torch (since both of them are now in the MCU, and one of them is dead) was hilarious.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm gonna stop spoiler-tagging a 3-minute long gag video, alright? It's been long enough to watch it.
One's dead, the other's the person they're talking to.
Also, it's really dark that Dash and Bob were Snapped, and I like it.

One thing which bothers me...they forgot Robby Reyas!
I think you mean Robbie Reyes. And they also forgot Quake and the Agents of SHIELD.

Well, I assume they are still off looking for Fitz.
And then they got Thanos'd away mid-search

...I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.
Btw, Character Development =/= Character Progression. To develop a character is to make it three-dimensional, to flesh it out, to make the audience see all its sides and what makes them tick. You don't need to make a character change in the course of a story to do all that.
Hell, there's an entire genre that has existed for millennia that relies on its protagonist not changing, it's called Tragedy, which has some of the most lauded works of Western Literature and Infinity War borrows from it pretty liberally it to build its version of Thanos.
But YMMV and all that jazz.

No, I'm serious. When I first heard that The Man-Ape was going to be in Black Panther, I was horrified. Marvel's first movie starring a black superhero will pit him against another black guy who is a hooting monkey-man. Great. Good job, Marvel. F*cking nailed it.
But then the film came out and M'Baku easily stole every scene he was in. Winston Duke's performance was great and the film made excellent use of his character without ever seeming offensive or racist about it. He even became the Ensemble Dark Horse with fans falling madly in love with him.
Somehow, against all odds, The Man-Ape wound up being one of the film's best and most beloved characters.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Hmm, I know it's easy to say it now, after the fact and all, but I was never troubled by M'Baku showing up in the film because Ryan Coogler has the last say on which characters show up, and I doubt someone as politicized as him would fuck it up on the starting line.
I mean, while I love Black Panther, thus far it hasn't showed itself to be exactly an essential part of the greater story of the MCU, which most likely means that Ryan didn't need to work around it while making the movie.
So in short: "Great. Good job, Marvel. F*cking nailed it."
I will guess that is what happen when you led a Minority in direction and wrinting roles, they can do wonderfull things even with bad ideas.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"In another reality Marvel had a man dressed in a Gorillia suit, the head comes off in the end to reveal
Jonah Jameson?
New theme music also a boxThe greatest strength of the never-ending storytelling of comics (and the MCU) is that bad ideas can be redeemed later on. Just look at the Winter Soldier or the recently introduced Fem!Thor note and Ironheart .
Of course, the other side of that coin is that perfectly good ideas can be completely shat upon later, which seems to be happening more and more frequently ever since the turn of the millennium, but still, it's an undeniable plus.
Civil War is near unrecognisable to comic it's based off, which is for the best really
New theme music also a boxNeither is Logan to Old Man Logan: beyond the argument of "Logan being old and decrepit" and it being a road movie, which is for the best: Old Man was a so-so comic, which severely suffered from the inherent silliness of comic books.
And, personally, I liked both the female Thor and Ironheart when they showed up, even if I know other fans didn't.

Oh, the idea behind Ironheart is great, but BMB just shat all over with his shitty writing, the only kind he's capable of doing nowadays .
And I should've clarified: the Winter Soldier is the redemption of Bucky Barnes, a character so well-written he contributed more to the story being dead than being alive.
As for Fem!Thor, well at first the character or even the writing was not the problem, it's just that the way Whosit Aaron introduced her seemed to be deliberately going out of its way to slap fans of OG!Thor in the face.
Later on I calmed down, gave her a chance and was pleasantly surprised with the lass, but if the MCU ever puts her on-screen, I would very much prefer if they completely rewrite the introduction from the ground up.
But I would like to see Jane Thor in the MCU if they can do it. Seeing the interplay between cancer-stricken Jane and Thor was pretty damn awesome.
Hey, good enough excuse to give Sif Stormbreaker, then.
Oh that was what American Dad referenced that time Steve & Jeff played that fantasy MMO.
