Another reason why he’s my fav mon.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He seems to be the only one of the movie villains that's regularly remembered. Probably because he's just that terrifying.
"WHO CAN COUNT BACKWARDS FROM TEN?"
We all know why?
He attacked the heroes while they were transforming.
True, it was because of unique circumstances, but still. That's gonna earn you baddie points.
One Strip! One Strip! It helps that the movie is considered a bit of a classic.
Its the Gen 1 Syndrome.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Fixed that for you.
That design was shown off in a stream from a couple days ago. They also showed off a better look at Sakuyamon X. The look does give a better understanding of her design than the artwork that was shown earlier.
And here is the video that shows off the designs. The video is going over what the new vpets do. Diaboromon X is at about 4 minutes and 41 seconds into the video. And Sakuyamon X is at 9 minutes and 53 seconds into the video. Also, whoever added the Diaboromon X picture into Wikimon seems to have used Photoshop in order to get rid of some of the background details.

That is one Creepy Awesome design.
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.It's both hilarious and annoying that they straight up cribbed Evangelion for that design.
The Digimon movie was my introduction into the franchise, so to this day Diaboromon has a special place in my heart.
It almost makes me kind of wish Willis had been the Sixth Ranger to the 02 team. A digidestined trying to atone for creating an evil digimon has some great potential.
Diaboromon X is a very busy design, but that kind of works for him- having a bunch of weird details that aren't obvious at first glance suits him.
Sakuyamon X... I still think it's worse than regular Sakuyamon, but she certainly looks better there than the picture we saw before- turns out the shoulder pads are the only really dumb part of the outfit.
With what has been noted elsewhere as a very fast update, we now have the complete official Bandai art for both Diaboromon X and Sakuyamon X.
http://www.b-boys.jp/series/digimon/topics/detail/579/
This goes to a blog of sorts called Mon Memo that someone from Bandai has been using to gives updates on Digimon vpets. This has the official art. The website notes that Diaboromon X was designed by someone called As'Maria, and Sakuyamon X was designed by Kenji Watanabe. Also, the Digimon Reference book soon with profiles for the Digimon.
This gives a summary of the above website in English and also has the art. I am posting this just in case anyone don't want to try and translate the page or use something like Google Translate.
The fox spirits are a nice touch for Sakuyamon X
Don't really like the official poses, especially for Diaboromon X, they really accentuate just how busy the designs are and it's eye-straining to discern smaller details.

(For the record, Hurricane Touchdown had nothing to do with Diablomon, and Wallace being linked to it was made up when they pasted together 3 movies to release them to American audiences, just because)
I might not like Diaboromon X if we only had the official pose to work with, but having two images to compare and contrast really making the task of deciphering the design easier. And as I alluded to, the design that you have to work to decipher works for Diaboromon in a way that very few other digimon can claim.
But the official pose pushed me right back into hating Sakuyamon X, because now I see oversized boots and gloves on otherwise bare limbs.
So I finally saw the last Tri.
Eh. It pushed too much into Sequel Hook territory, and didn't sate nostalgia.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyForgot about this thread. I just caught up and am a bit surprised how much more game talk there is compared to the relevant threads in the Video Games forum.
I kind of want to post my ideal Digimon partner(s) and their evo lines, but I feel the moment has passed. I'll just say that most of my favorites are female (which admitedly comes from how underrepresented I feel they are outside of the video games) and that the Olympus XII and Great Demon Lords contain some of my absolute favorites in the series and leave it at that.
Commenting on the new Anti-bodies, Sakuya X looks like they tried to combine her Shrine Maiden and Armored looks, but overemphasized the elements of the latter while apparently basing the shrine maiden look on Kuzuhamon's slightly more fanservicey version. I don't hate the design, but I feel like it's one of the more underwhelming X redesigns, especially for a Mega. That said, the fox spirits are probably my favorite part of the design.
Diaboro X looks like he was based more on Metal Fantomon, but I think he looks pretty cool overall.
Go for it, we talk about that quite regularly
Billiam tackles Digimon Data Squad (as in the dub not the original Japanese version)
- He feels the show is rather lacking in intrigue compared to previous series (the revelations about Spencer Damon feel hollow to him because no one seemed to be asking about him prior to said revelations).
- With the exception of Keenan and Falcomon, he finds the relationships between the human leads and their Digimon to be more rooted in professionalism than in friendship and camaraderie.
- He thinks Marcus is a Boring Invincible Hero.
- He finds the show more So Okay, It's Average.

THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE 14?!
They sure as Hell don’t look it.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That one was one of my favorites. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.I can definitely see where Billiam was going for, but I also think he was kind of unfair in some of his points.
I think the part where he exaggerated the most was when he talked about the bond between the charactes and their digimon. Yes, the relationship between Thomas and Gaomon feels more like a boss and employee relationship than an actual friendship, but that definitely doesn't apply to Marcus and Agumon's lives at the Damon house. Also, this is one of the seasons where the heroes actually suffered the most losses because, unlike most Digimon examples, pretty much every defeat they've suffered at the hand of the villain there had a permanent impact.
Well, now I have to wait until he decides to tackle Xros Wars and that's going to be interest because this is the season I have the most problems with.
Well, he looks completely demonic.
