Speaking personally, I'd rather have a game that focuses on non-robot Anime, like Super Heroine Chronicle (but not... weird) or battle Moon Wars (but not Type-MOON).

Symphogear is basically Macross with Power Armor. And there's more then enough homages to the Genre that it counts.

We've got a new PV for Super Robot Wars DD;
Martian Successor Nadesico: Prince of Darkness, Daitarn 3, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, and UFO Robo Grendizer are all returning, while Aldnoah.Zero makes its official SRW debut.
There'll also be a new Original Generation with her own boxing mech, and also Masaki Andoh and Cybuster will be added in because of course they will.
For a real surprise, there will also be a Mazinger Z piloted by Amuro Ray.
Huh, always figured that Valvrave and Aldnoah would be featured in a Super Robot Wars game together. Happy to see Grendizer back, it's nice to know some Super Robot Wars games still care about it.
Oh, also X-Omega will feature Gundam Build Fighters Battlogue for a limited time.

Honestly with how they've been putting out a new SRW game every year for the past couple of years along with porting V and X to the Switch and Steam I don't mind if they take a year or 2 break.
I'm still amazed that we're even getting the games in English now.
