This is the trope's second time in TRS, but I can't seem to find the previous thread. There was some agreement that the title sounds too much like a Stock Phrase, but whatever happened as a result I forget.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I agree. Too much like dialog. 42 wicks and 0 inbounds. I say just cut the sucker and run.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI think there was agreement about there being a valid trope in here, but without the previous thread I can't verify it.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.It's so close to Loves My Alter Ego. The only difference I could find was that You Cannot Please Everyone is the situation and Loves My Alter Ego is the character who causes it by loving one persona but not the other.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I swear the original problem was that it was Hates My Alter Ego given this name for some random ass reason, and we moved it out of there.
Fight smart, not fair.If this was cut, I would not mourn it. And the link I found it by was just referring to the phrase anyway.

What this sounds like to me, as it does to a lot of people, is about...well...not being able to please everyone. Which is a Stock Aesop. But it isn't that. What it is is something specific to the Super Hero genre. (Is the former a trope? It probably should be.)
I dunno, I think this could be problematic. Thoughts?
