If you don't fully complete TTYD, you're playing it wrong. The idea of choosing not to experience anything in that wonderful game offends my sensibilities!
Also, Color Splash and even Super Paper Mario are definitely funnier than TTD, but that's because TTYD is less of a comedy and more of a rollicking adventure yarn.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?TTYD does some some primo jokes like the "curses" though.
It's probably my favorite game in the entire Mario series, though the first PM and the original Yoshi's Island come very close.
Speaking of, maybe now would be a good time for me to finally buy Color Splash...
A great Mascot Mook. Now would be a good time for Nintendo to rerelease TTYD on the Switch or something so I could replay it after all these years.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Being able to play The Thousand-Year Door in handheld mode would be really neat. I'm all for a port to the Switch.
Remake it. Add a hidden room in the starter town full of trashed stickers.
Instant profit.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I'm also thinking that in Chapter Five, the X-Nauts should sink an oil barge transporting large amounts of paint in drums.

Color Splash is a good game. The battle system kinda sucks, but the rest of the game is so goddamn good that it doesn't really matter.
Galaxy, Yoshi's Island, and 3D World have more or less cemented their place as my top three Mario games, but TTYD comes in at a very close fourth, followed (also very closely) by SMB3. Guess that's my top five!
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?My top three, in no particular order, are Galaxy 2, Odyssey, and TTYD.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Out of curiosity, what makes you like Galaxy 2 more than Galaxy?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?What if
Now hear me out
What if...
Super Mario RPG 2
Not if Square has anything to say about it.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundPretty sure that team went on to form Alphadream, so we already have Super Mario RPG 2-6.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Super Mario RPG has a look and a style that no other Mario RPG has replicated. I'd love to have a sequel where characters that look like they were going to join your party but didn't (namely Frogfucius and Booster) actually do join your party.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?x5 Galaxy 2 is just Galaxy 1.5. It has basically everything the first game had except more and slightly better. The only things Galaxy 1 has over it are the hub world, the Red Star, and the storybook. And I suppose having Rosalina the entire time.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Galaxy 2 has more platforming...that alone makes it "better"...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I don't like Galaxy 2 because regardless of its actual quality it's completely devoid of originality.
Originality...?
It's got dead in the honey, from being a glorified expansion DLC. Personally, I wouldn't have expected anything less.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Because Mario Galaxy advanced the series forward. It was epic, it had heart, it had a genuinely touching narrative in Rosalina's storybook.
Galaxy 2 heralded a dead zone of Mario games that only ended when Mario Odyssey made the series cool again.
NSMB Wii predicted Galaxy 2...
I reckon...
Though, I don't see it that way...since it's been fine on its gameplay belt for years.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Galaxy 2 has arguably the best level design of all time. I slightly prefer Galaxy 1 because originality gets some points, but they're still my top 2 games.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. The NSMB series is basically the personification of stagnation.
Yes, yes it is.
It's probably the 2nd best this series isn't good enough for.
Though it is consistent enough for it.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.One thing the original Yoshi's Island has over every other Yoshi game that came after, cooler bosses. Woolly World especially falters here because it recycles bosses heavily. You fight Big Montegomery and Knot-wing the Koopa three times each.
The Completionist completes Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
His verdict? Finish It!
TL;DW: He loves the combat, story, and game, but hates the grind for completion.
He also thinks Color Splash is funnier than TTYD.
