First thing's first: KEEP. THIS. SHIT. CIVIL. If you can't talk about race without resorting to childish insults and rude generalizations or getting angry at people who don't see it your way, leave the thread.
With that said, I bring you to what can hopefully be the general thread about race.
First, a few starter questions.
- How, if at all, do you feel your race affects your everyday life?
- Do you believe that white people (or whatever the majority race in your area is) receive privileges simply because of the color of their skin. How much?
- Do you believe minorities are discriminated against for the same reason? How much?
- Do you believe that assimilation of cultures is better than people trying to keep their own?
- Affirmative Action. Yea, Nay? Why or why not?
Also, a personal question from me.
- Why (in my experience, not trying to generalize) do white people often try to insist that they aren't white? I can't count the number of times I've heard "I'm not white, I'm 1/4th English, 1/4th German, 1/4th Scandinavian 1/8th Cherokee, and 1/8th Russian," as though 4 of 5 of those things aren't considered "white" by the masses. Is it because you have pride for your ancestry, or an attempt to try and differentiate yourself from all those "other" white people? Or something else altogether?

Thought is more a cultural bias rather than racial one tho, I'm still biologically native but I get safe from most anti native hate for being heavily urbanized.

Isn't yelling "Fire" in public areas legal under US law? I get conflicting answers to that every time I ask.
AFAIK the answer is "Yes in theroy, but it's never been tried", and American law is set by precident so until it is, no one knows.

Unless Canada had one, too, or there's something else I'm unaware of, the Trail of Tears is an American atrocity.

Fuck I meant Highway of Tears. Thats what I get for writing that while being really tired.
Point is the Highway of Tears has been having serial killers killing First Nations women since the late 1960s up until possibly now (latest body was found in 2006 but thats only what has been reported to be found) but the police and the government refuse to acknowledge the tragedies that occurred and at the time they were in full swing refused to look into catching the serial killers.
It wasn't until recently were they caught a couple of the killers and I think that was after they got caught trying to coverup the Highway of Tears. Its just a really sad case of justice being not served all just because some racist fucks couldn't be bothered to actually do anything because it wasn't white women disappearing. There is also First Nations women disappearing and being murdered in other parts of the country too with little to no measures being taken to stop it.
Even when I see people talking about the Highway of Tears and how horribly they handled it nowadays you see a couple or racist fucks saying that they deserved it because something to do with a lot of First Nations towns being drug and crime infested and all that old racist stereotype tripe.
I also recall hearing that there was a practice for some police departments in Canada to pick up First Nations people, arrest them, handcuff them, and then leave them to die in the remote wilderness during winter time. This practice was only stopped because one or more victims managed to survive and get back to civilization.
America sadly has a disturbing amount of cases as well were an bunch of natives or other minorities were targeted but the police didn't bother trying to catch the killer until some white folks were killed.

Related to this is how not long after I found out that most of Jeffrey Dahmer's victims were nonwhite that I got a realisation as to why he wasn't caught sooner
Oh it gets worse. One of his victims was an young teenage boy (I forgot what ethnicity he was but I think he was native) whom some woman found on his doorstep, drugged and bleeding from his butt. Despite the fact something was clearly very wrong the police let Jeffery off after Jeffery claimed that he was just a boyfriend and things got frisky. Jeffery then went on to kill more people and even killed that poor boy's brother too at some point. Homophobia and racism were both very rampant in that case.
Sadly the boy got murdered and his body defiled not long after that. Jeffery did have some white victims but they were very few and far in between.
