Giant Bomb has timestamps for each segment of a podcast. Higo's interview started at 1:08:55, so I started there and made a note to timestamp when Cloud was brought up.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.I accidentally found it.
I wouldn't have guessed to put my mouse next to the video.
SC 6 is 85% off on Steam for the next couple days.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIs that for the definitive edition?
Both basic and Definitive Edition are 85% off. IIRC Definitive Edition doesn't include Season 2 DLC. All DLC is 50% off.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyOh, that's incredibly disappointing to know. It's been over a year since Hwang's release.
I updated the Soul Cal entry on Men Get Old, Women Get Replaced. I'll do so for Tekken soon, too.
EDIT: Done.
Also, here's a good overview guide for each of the characters' playstyles and special abilities.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI have some complaints about how VI handles its character select screen and especially its stage select screen.
It could be a lot better, or a LOT worse:
For characters, I wish there was some sort of organization based on playstyle, or character relationships, or something.
For stages, considering how few stages there actually are, and how many are variations on the same stage, something like SC 2's method for sorting variations with each other would've helped.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI never noticed how little stages we had in the game until you brought it up.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.I definitely felt the small number of stages throughout my playthrough. I think the peak of stage numbers was SC 3, when everyone had their own stage, and there were like 30, even if there weren't variations like in 2, or day/night version like in 3.
Anyway, here's a piano rendition of one of my favorite stage themes:
Of the 18 stages:
- Cursed Moonlit Woods and Silver Wolves' Haven are the same
- Grand Labryinth is a training stage only
- Master Swordsman's Cave has two variations
- Three are from the worlds of guest fighters
I've seen some interesting CAS characters over the years. Yesterday I had a fight between the Dark Magician and the Mighty Morphin Megazord. I wish there was actually a way to keep a history of CAS fighters outside of downloading them or screenshots.

The sad, REAL American dichotomySpeaking of CAS fighters... I could probably make a couple of the Live A Live cast. I also need to get around to making that alternate timeline evil version of my Original Character... it's a long story ^_^;
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantBig Bamco sale on Steam this weekend. Most games that didn't release this year are 85% off, including Naruto, One Piece, Digimon, Tekken, and Soul Calibur games. Digimon Survive, which did release this year, is 30% off. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure ASBR isn't on sale, but this could be a sign of the sale price next year.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySome of these are a stretch, but still, I didn't know Tekken and Soul Cal had this many moves in common!
They didn't really need to do Yoshimitsu's moves though.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIf anything, Josie took Talim's leaping punch considering she's had that since SC 2.
Anyway, I'm not shocked that Soul Cal took moves from Tekken. Hell, it wouldn't shock me if there were animators that worked on both.
Taki's throat slit is being Kunimitsu's definitely a stretch.

Help me. I can't get it out of my head.I made a Smash Bros moveset for Talim. I've already previously done one for Yoshimitsu (one of my first ones), that I may clean up a bit after the experience gained since then.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyRecently I've been fooling around in CAS and made Suki, Ty Lee, Bayonetta, Angewomon, Ganondorf, Mai Shiranui, Morrigan, Lilith, Q-Bee, Max... And on a whim today I decided to make (female) Byleth to go with the Edelgard and Hubert I made last year.
I wish there was a way the playerbase could vote on top CAS creations so that those get saved, instead of older ones being lost to time. Fortunately I've saved some of the ones I found most inventive, like the Megazord or the Dark Magician.
I figured there wouldn't be too many other high effort CAS made recently since I just looked last night, but imagine my surprise when I find very well done Dampierre, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and the fucking Pot of Greed.
I've recently seen several very well done Fire Emblem characters specifically. Tharja, Robin, Radiant Dawn Ike, FEH Ike...
The sad, REAL American dichotomyMy CAS creations so far:
- 9 Original characters (including how I'd design the canon characters Bangoo and Chie)
- Bolta, Maelys, Necrid
- 36 new costumes for Soul Calibur fighters, including 11 "classic" costume recreations
- ATLA/ALOK: Korra, Suki, Ty Lee
- TMNT: Leo, Donnie, Mikey, Raph, Shredder
- Digimon: Angemon, Angewomon, D'Arcmon
- Attack on Titan: Sasha, Mikasa
- Darkstalkers (and other Capcom vs): Morrigan, Lilith, Jedah, Felecia, Q-Bee, Jon Talbain, Hsien-ko, Mei Ling, Donovan, Anakaris, B.B. Hood, Marionette, Bishamon, Ruby Heart (MVC 2), Tessa (Red Earth)
- Fire Emblem: F!Byleth, Edelgard, Hubert, Timeskip!Dorothea, Saint Seiros
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Pyra, Mythra
- Other gaming: Mai Shiranui (KOF), Bayonetta, Ganondorf, Max (Shining Force)

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI think I might be done making CAS creations, mostly because I'm at the cap on space. Some are original creations, some are new costumes for existing characters, some are classic costumes, and I also made Necrid and Eliza from Tekken. Outside of that, here's all the characters I made from other franchises:
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
Those are all great. I especially love the Korra.
I know the very last one is Seiros/Rhea, but for a second I thought she was Yoda.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonHaha, wouldn't be the first time Yoda was in this series. But no, it's Rhea kneeling and praying. Or ready to stab someone under her, who knows?
I've seen other people upload Rhea, but they did it modding the wings on her crown to be smaller (and looking less like Yoda's ears). I made all my creations without mods.
Korra (or Hubert) was actually the earliest one of those, and haven't had revisions. I could probably make them look better using everything I've learned, but they still look pretty good. Back then, I'd had a worse looking Academy!Edelgard using one of Astaroth's weapons, for an example of how far I've come. Also, doing this made me like certain characters a lot more.
Also, for a fun note: I kept breakable armor on for Leonie and Shamir. If you break all their armor, you actually change them to their Summer outfits from Fire Emblem Heroes! Unfortunately there wasn't a great way to make Leonie's top due to only having so many sticker options to work with, so I managed with what I had. I may look further into it.
...Now I'm wondering if I can do the same thing with Casual Morrigan◊ and have those clothes break off into a battle outfit. I doubt it, but it's worth a shot!

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'm so bad at making versions of existing characters - I mostly use the character creator to visualize my own characters, but always second guess myself to hell whenever I try to make a character I already know.
I think the only one I was able to get through was making Go Go Tomago from Big Hero 6.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. If it helps, some stuff just can't be done with the items alone, but you can get a lot farther with good sticker and color pattern placement, and use of the limited options for the extra 3 item slots. For example:
- Tifa's sports bra is actually the tube top with a small circle sticker, and a large white and black number 0 sticker applied directly to her skin. Her suspenders are the duffel back item placed inside her back.
- Byleth's ridiculous top that has low cleavange and exposes her belly button is also the tube top, but a very large number 8 sticker has been applied to her skin, and a couple other black square stickers, to get the lines of the belly button cutout right. Her tights are the spider web pattern on her boots, and the bottom part of the previously mentioned number 8 to connect them to her shorts.
- Jon Talbain (the wolfman)'s fur is made from the wing stickers, applied to his skin, with color blending. His tail is two overlaid instances of the centurion plume.
- Rikuo (the fishman)'s fins are just bat wings, and his skin patterns are just 3 copies of the circle sticker applied to his skin at different angles and sizes.
- The ninja turtles' "mouths" are just the fox mask, embedded into their faces, stretched, and color matched.
- Marionette's wind up key is a screw and two rings. Her legs and skirt are actually the jester pants, but I used the pattern that's 3 colors fading into each other, with a lot of size and angle manipulation.
- Q-Bee's insect abdomen is two of the large turtle shell, with stripe patterns.
- For a lot of characters (Mythra, Angewomon, Morrigan and Lilith's tights, Edelgard's short sleeves, etc), what looks like skintight clothing is just a large sticker applied directly to the skin.
If you've got a character you want made, and you're on Steam, message me, I'll figure out if I can get it, then we can use the remote viewing feature of Steam to guide you through it. It takes trial and error and patience, though.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyIs this a modded costume piece? Because I don't think I have it, but I really want it! I thought I had everything, but couldn't find a dress anything like that! I hope it's not modded, though. I like making stuff with what's in game.

The sad, REAL American dichotomy
Yea, I did my own research on this. They all source that Giant Bomb as well.
I guess it wasn't close enough for Advent Children's released date.
Did you actually listen to the entire thing, none of the websites I went to didn't even bother marking the time duration.
